"So you want to establish another position of authority within the Magic Knights?" Julius couldn't help but be intrigued by William's proposal. I wonder who inspired him to construct this... oh, how interesting!!

"Yes, I think it would be beneficial. With the Vice-Captain position, one can be the Captain's substitute in times of need, develop strategies in battles, help assign and complete missions, along with many other things. However, lately, I can't help but feel as though something is... missing." William hummed, deep in thought. He needed to nail this presentation or things would go south for him fast.

"That something may involve teamwork and outreach. While our Vice-Captains are tasked with internal obligations, the public is left neglected by the higher-ranked officials. After all, individuals such as myself are kept busy on a daily basis; this is not a complaint, but a pure fact. So, to make up for this shortcoming, I have come up with a potential solution: a First Lieutenant. This person would be another pair of eyes and would add something beneficial to discussions. They would also be trusted with tasks similar to those assigned to Vice-Captains, as well." William continued, making sure not to ramble.

"My my, how interesting, indeed!" Julius gasped, curiosity sparking in his eyes. He, personally, was all for opportunities that benefited the Clover Kingdom, and William's briefing was quite thorough. He really had thought this all through... I'd expect nothing less from the Captain of the Golden Dawn.

"However, I understand that forcing all of the Magic Knights Squads to comply with this without providing any supporting evidence would be naive at best, so I would also like to propose a trial run, of sorts. For this, I would nominate someone from my squad to take up the title of First Lieutenant for a set amount of time, and then when that time is up, we look at the benefits in comparison to previous years without this position." William explained.

"Oh~? It seems as though you already have someone in mind for this, yes?" Julius smirked, amused at his subordinate's suddenly bashful behavior. For some reason, William was now rather nervous to answer.

"One of our newcomers, (Name) Kocho, has displayed exemplary skill and talent to the highest degree, even when compared to our oldest squad members. She has shown proficiency in positions of leadership, demonstrating resourcefulness, quick thinking, unconventional ideas, and always puts people first. If anyone could qualify as a better candidate than her, I wouldn't know them." William felt his heartbeat quicken when he spoke of you. You had both spent late nights in his office together when he needed another opinion (and Langris wasn't available, of course). It had only been a couple of months since you had joined, but William couldn't be more certain that you were ready for an increase in your status and authority.

"The Golden Dawn is the Magic Knights Squad of the highest caliber, I am aware, so this comes as no surprise. However, are you sure that your own personal feelings aren't clouding your judgment here, William?" The captain frowned, confused by the eccentric man's words.
