Dream's POV

As I was editing the last bit of my newest video, I looked at George trying to beat the game. I smiled as he kept looking somewhere and the blocks changed again. He screamed as his iron block changed to a netherrack block and I grinned.

I finished the last bit of my video and was about to call George on Discord as he suddenly turned quiet. I looked up at the stream to see him look at something on Google. It didn't seem like he noticed his stream was showing at all and he looked at some old search results, all including him coming out or liking boys.

George looked at his chat and I saw his face heating up fully. With panic in his eyes, the stream suddenly ended and I frowned as I started processing what just happened.

Did he just out himself on stream? Did he want me to say something about it? I decided to leave that up to him and called him. It took a minute for him to accept the call, he said nothing and listened to my voice.

'Hi! Are you streaming?'

'N-no,' I heard his weak mutter. 'I'm very tired, I told everyone that I would do this another time.'

'Are you sure?'

'Yes,' he whispered.

It was obvious that he didn't want to come out to me, something I fully respected and understood.

'Do you want to do something together?' I asked him as I leaned back in my chair and yawned. 'I edited the video we recorded two days back. I might post it tomorrow evening.'

'Nice.'

'Yeah, it's a pretty good video. I think people will like it. How is your video getting along?'

'I haven't started editing yet,' George muttered. His voice broke in the end, so I tried to cheer him up. It probably wouldn't work since he had just outed himself in front of thousands of viewers which was obviously terrible for him.

Until this point, I didn't really think about what it meant, but I figured George was gay or something like that. Maybe bisexual since he talked about girls sometimes, but that could all have been an act.

I felt a bit guilty as I realised Sapnap and I teased him for not having a girlfriend. We didn't mean any harm with it, since we both didn't have a girlfriend either and I didn't know he liked boys. He wanted to keep it a secret, but I still felt bad for teasing him.

'Do you want me to help you? I'm in the mood for editing at the moment.'

'You will just find it a dumb video.'

'I won't, I've recorded it with you. Just send me the files, I know your editing style.'

'I'm going to sleep after, I haven't really slept much last night.'

'Okay, that's fine. I'll try to finish the video before you're awake, but it might take longer.'

'Thanks,' George muttered as he sent me a map with files and recordings. 'See you.'

'Goodnight,' I said as George left the call.

I started editing George's video while the things that just happened kept going through my head. George liked men and he never told us? I understood that he never told us and I was in no way offended, but I felt bad for him. He was carrying this secret with him for probably months to years to accidentally out himself on stream.

I sighed and concentrated on editing again as I got a call from Sapnap. I accepted the call.

'I'm editing George's video so I might not respond a lot.'

'George's video?'

'He was tired and I just wanted to cheer him up.'

'Do you know what happened? I was watching his stream and wasn't paying attention, but he suddenly ended it and deleted the VOD.'

'He was tired and not feeling well so he ended the stream after he zoned out for a good minute,' I lied. I wasn't going to out him another time, that would be really rude and I would be the worst friend if I did.

'Okay,' Sapnap mumbled and I looked at my PC screen again. 'Can I just play some games as we are in the same VC?'

'Yeah, why not?'

'I don't want to bother.'

'You don't bother me, I'm just editing a bit. I probably will ignore you when I'm too focused on the video, because I won't hear you.'

Sapnap let out a giggle. 'Fine, I'll just play some Minecraft. Did you speak to George after his stream? Is he okay or do I need to check?'

'I spoke to him. He's okay and went to sleep so don't wake him up.'

'Okay, I won't. He'll probably wake up after ten hours.'

'Yeah,' I muttered as I started thinking about that more. Did he actually sleep or did he want to escape from everyone around him? Was he depressed from things happening in his life? Things he was hiding from us. I was a bit worried about him and grabbed my phone to show him that I cared. He would probably think I was just being weird, but I didn't mind.

I smiled as I put my phone down to edit the video. George immediately read my text after I sent it, making me smile. I was waiting for him to send me an annoyed text since he didn't like showing affection in any way or form, but he instead sent something sweet back.

I smiled and put my phone away. I was a bit more relieved than before and began to edit the video again.

Before I knew it I was four hours busy with editing and Sapnap spoke up. 'Dream, get a snack or a drink. You're constantly editing. You didn't even notice me leave for a good amount of time.'

'I want to make George happy with this video when he wakes up. I'll get something after.'

'Dream on his DNF arc?' Sapnap joked.

I rolled my eyes, knowing he wouldn't be able to see that. 'Idiot.'

'But you didn't deny.'

'Shut up,' I said as I started editing again.
