Maya's Next Adventure

Chapter One

Maya's POV
I open my eyes facing my alarm on my bedside table. "Ugh, just one day i want to be able to sleep past 7am" I say quietly as I turn my alarm off. "5.30 am is way too early".

I roll over and come face to face with the most perfect woman i've ever seen. I can't help but stare at her as she lays there still sleeping. "God, I love you Carina" I whisper in her ear in an attempt to wake her from her slumber. I place a kiss on her forehead as I run one hand through her soft, brown hair. She begins to stir so I place a final kiss on her forehead.

"Buongiornio Bambina" she whispers as she comes out of her sleep and places a kiss onto my lips.

I pull her in closer and our lips don't break contact.

After a few minutes, Carina pulls away "Bambina, we have work. As much as i would love to stay here in this bed with you, we can't. Whilst I go and make us some breakfast, you go and get ready for work." She climbs off the bed and leans towards my ear, "Captain Bishop"

Butterflies form in my stomach as I attempt to contain myself. "Ugh, really Carina" I shout out towards the kitchen. "You expect me to be able to just move on and get ready for my day when you have just 'Captain Bishop'ed me. You know how much that gets to me" I hear a slight laughter coming from the kitchen.

Carina's POV
I can't help but laugh at how Maya
reacts to things. I know teasing her isn't the best thing to do when we both have work to get to but I love seeing the reaction I get out of her. The more worked up she gets during the day, the better it is later on.

I stand in the kitchen making breakfast for both me and Maya as I do most days. Maya works very long shifts every time so it's the least I could do. Me making breakfast takes one thing off of her list of things to do before she starts work.

20 minutes later, i've got breakfast ready and set up on the table. it's 6 am so we have time to eat together rather than on the way to work.

"bella, breakfast is ready" I shout in the hopes Maya hears me. "you better be awake. what's taking so long".

Maya's POV
I get out of the shower and I hear Carina call me to breakfast. I throw on my silk robe Carina bought be for my birthday. "I'm here, i'm here" I say as I make my way to the kitchen. "Sorry, i was taking a..." before I could finish my sentence, Carina turns around to look at me.

"Bambina, you...you could have at least got dressed." she says quietly, almost at a whisper.

"Sorry, sorry. It's not like you've never seen it before" I say before taking a seat and digging into this amazing food Carina has made.

"That was amazing as usual gorgeous. Thank you. Now let me quickly go get dressed they we can leave" I stand up and walk over to Carina and kiss her soft lips.

"Okay Bambina. I'm going to quickly clean up in here then we are going to have to leave. You don't want to be late for work. Captain Maya Bishop is never late" she shouts so I can hear her, putting exaggeration on the last part of what she said. As said before, she knows it gets to me.

Carina's POV
I finish cleaning up the kitchen as Maya comes back from the bedroom. "Are you ready to go Carina".

"Sì" I respond as we both pick up our bags and head to the car.

"I'll drive us to the Station, You've made breakfast and cleaned up. I don't expect you to also drive me to work" Maya says I lock to front door and make my way to the car.

"Are you sure bambina. I really don't mind driving you to work"

Maya takes my bag and places it in the back of the car before opening the passenger side door. "Carina, sit. I'm driving today. You have done so much today. Let me get something off of your shoulders" She makes her way to the drivers side and climbs in. Before we pull out the driveway, I lean over and place a small kiss onto her cheek. A smile instantly takes over her perfect face.

"I love you, Carina"

"I love you too, bella" We pull off of the driveway and get head off to work.

A/N: Hi, this is an idea i've had for a while so i decided why not just give it a go. I would like to apologise if there are parts that make little sense or words are spelt wrong. I'm not great when it comes to spelling and I have a tendency to ramble. Let me know if you like the story and want to see more. I promise in a few chapters the story title will make sense, right now my focus was establishing the relationship between Maya and Carina.
