Nicky is my best friend and so is the rest of the quad but what he doesn't know is that I'm in love with him. The only downfall to that for me is that he has a girlfriend. "Hey guys", I say to the quad as I reach them at school. (Y'all were underage but y'all I gotta make them get drunk at a party for this so tw now). "Hey ash", they all say except Nicky. Ouch. "Anyway ash there's a party tonight wanna go with us we promise to not let ya do something dumb please oh please say yes I can't go alone with these idiots", Dawn asks. "Yeah sure I'll go and hey they aren't idiots- okay yeah they are but they're fun at least", I say. "Thank god you said yes", she whispered to me making me giggle. I saw Nicky turn around with a smile. I smiled and turned back to the boys. "So when's the party", I ask. "At like 9:30 tonight but we will all be fashionably late", Dawn says. "Okay see y'all tonight", I say as the final bell rings. "Hey ash wait up", I heard someone yell to me. I turn to see Nickys girlfriend running towards me. We don't like each other so I just kept walking until she finally caught up to me and grabbed my hair. "What the hell is wrong with you", I say as people are now watching this unfold. Out of the corner of my eye I see Nicky who turned to see this. "Let go of her hair now", he said. She let go and flashed a smile. "STAY AWAY FROM HIM HES MINE NOT YOURS", she yelled. "NO HES MY FUCKING BEAT FRIEND IVE KNOWN HIM SINCE WE WERE LIKE 2 I'm not gonna stop talking to him because little Miss popular is jealous, oh and fuck off bitch", I say walking through the crowd of people who watched and filmed that. I got in my car and drove home. My phone wrang and it was Nicky...
"Hello", I say. "Hey don't hate me please I'll forever choose you but we worked it out go I'm so stupid", he said but the last part I don't think I was meant to hear. "It's okay Nicky, I just want you to be happy", I say. "okay see ya tonight", he said then hung up. "Even if it's not with me, just be happy for me", I whisper after he hung up. Tears streamed down my face but then I checked the Tim it was already 9 PM. My mom lets me have the full experience so she said I could go to the party but to be quiet when I get back because she'll be asleep. I got ready and it was like 10 PM now.

(What I wore lol). I heard a faint knock at my window it was the boys and Dawn so I ran downstairs grabbing my bag. "Hey guys let's go". I say. When we arrived it was already starting. Lights flashing, loud music, the stench of cheap alcohol, and kids dancing and being dumb. Then I spot the karaoke machine and that was it for me. We drank some and I got wasted. "Y'all I gotta sing", I say. I got up there and couldn't figure out what to sing till I saw Nicky and his girlfriend come to watch me. I couldn't think right obviously I was under the influence but I started to play 'that should be me', by Justin Beiber. I stared at Nicky as I sang it. I didn't care if I sounded horrible I just sang my heart out as tears poured down my face. "I can't go on until you believe that should be me", I finished. He stared at me and I swear tears swelled in his eyes. He got up on stage after me and sang 'if you love her', by Forest Blakk. He stared at me the entire time and I knew it was about me because that was literally me. I got up in the stage and hugged him. I pulled away and went to leave but he pulled me into him and... kissed me. It was as magical. "Nicky wait you have a girlfriend", I say. "I don't love her the way I love you", he whispered to me before leaving and pulling her aside. It was faint but they were arguing about how he want me instead of her. She started crying crocodile tears and ran off. I went to leave but Nicky stopped me. "You've been drinking your not walking home alone", he said grabbing my hand. "Nicky, can I stay with you tonight I don't wanna go home", I ask. "Yes of course come on", he said. Half way through the walk I almost died falling back when I passed out. He caught me and carried me bridal style to his house where he met with his siblings. "Guys she's staying with me tonight", I heard him say. They all said okay and he carried me to his bed. He went to go lay on the couch but I grabbed his sleeve and asking up. "Stay with me Nickster", I say. He layed down with me and fully awake and aware I lay on his chest falling back asleep. I heard his heart beat fasten then lower again as he fell asleep too.
~~~~~~~~ next morning ~~~~~~~~ "Hey nic-awww there so gonna be the best couple ever", Dawn said. She left and I slowly woke up and tried to move but his strong arms pulled me back into him. I giggled to myself. What the hell happened last night? "Nicky wake up", I say. The pounding in my head was stronger than ever. He slowly stretched and groaned. "Ow god how much did I drink", I ask. "A lot, enough for you to get on stage and sing that should be me and state right at me", he said scratching his neck. "Oh", I say. "I sang if you love her right back to you and we kissed and I broke up with yk who and then I walked you here but you fell asleep half way and I carried you to the bed and when I tried to go sleep on the couch you pulled me and asked me to lay with you then you lay on my chest and fell asleep", he said. "Sounds like me-wait you broke up with her", I ask. "Yep, she was annoying and controlling and is such a bitch to you anyway, I love you more than her", He said. And that's when it all hit me, everything that happened last night was now engraved in my brain but one thing stuck out the most: 'I don't love her like I love you'. "Hey I need to tell you something Nicky", I say. "What's up", he asked. "Well I'm there's no other way than to say it so, I like you more than a friend always have", I say looking down playing with string on my pants. He lifted my chin to face him with his thumb and kissed me. I pulled away a smiling mess. "God I love you", he said. "I love you too", I said. "Will you be my girlfriend", he asked. "Yes I will, and I will do it better than yk who", I said. "You'd do it better than anyone ever could Babygirl", he said. "Wanna watch tv my heads pounding", I ask. "Of course", he said turning on the vampire diaries. I lay my head in his lap slowly falling asleep. (Y'all TVs fans calm down I watched it so many times I could redo it all in my sleep).
