Slow, labored breaths left Luna's mouth as she sunk down the wall into the snow. She leaned her head back against the cold concrete as an involuntary hiss of pain left her mouth. Her hand was pressed hard against her side, her shirt, hand, and pants stained red. Her right hand was wrapped around her empty pistol, and hair stuck to her face with sweat despite fresh snow flurrying down around her from the hole in the ceiling. Fast footsteps approaching her made her freeze, as she knew there was nothing she could do. A sigh of relief left her mouth when Carl swung around the corner, though a hiss of pain quickly followed as her hand went too slack against her side.

"Oh my god, Luna!" Carl was on his knees next to her in seconds, his pistol abandoned in the snow behind him. "What happened? Did you get bit?"

"No." She shook her head lightly, looking up at the worry on his face. "Stabbed." She moved her hand, the blood that had been pooling spilling down her side and staining the snow. She sucked in a breath as she pushed her hand back against her side.

"Jesus Christ..." He mumbled. "We have to go. Can you move?"

"Probably." She nodded, adjusting slightly. He nodded a few times, quickly moving to pick up his gun and stick it in his waistband as he peaked out at the food court. There were a few walkers, but they were all hunched over fresh corpses.

"Okay, it's clear." He said, moving back over to Luna. "We just have to move fast, I have the car keys. We'll get away from here and then I can fix your side. We still have all that first aid stuff in the car. She nodded, putting her arm over Carl's shoulder as he wrapped an arm around her waist. "This might hurt, just try to be quiet okay?" She nodded, and he pulled her up. A pained noise came from her mouth, though she had bit her lip and kept the sound from being too loud.

"Let's go." She breathed out. Carl took the pistol from his waistband and they started out into the food court. They stuck to the wall, luckily the walkers didn't notice them, and soon they were nearing the car. Carl helped Luna get in before rushing to the drivers seat, hurrying to put the keys in.

"Just stay awake, alright?" He said as he pulled out of the parking lot. "Stay with me." He glanced over, seeing her looking at him, though her eyes were drooping. "Luna, stay awake okay? Tell me about what happened, how'd this happen?"

"Let me out!" Luna kicked the metal table again, making another loud clanging noise. This time, the door finally opened and in walked a guy-he couldn't have been much older than her. "Hey, let me out! Where's Carl?"

"In another room." The guy answered, shutting the door. "He's fine, don't worry. You will be too, if you want to answer my questions and not kick anything else." She huffed, but didn't respond which prompted the man to sit down across from her with a light smile. "Good. My name is Higgs, I run this place. Now, as much as we'd like to just let people in, we have women and children. Surely you understand why this measure is necessary."
