okay so i know i'm supposed to be on a break but i was checking twitter and i swear to god i've been seeing a lot of cultural appropriation posts about k-pop idols and a lot of fan wars being caused by 'fans'

so recently loona posted the face cam thingy on mnet, forgot what it was called but yeah, there was a cam moment when hy3joo was doing like the indian dance

i don't know what's it called, im not indian, im half nepali but im not familiar with the culture, but i watched a lot bollywood movies so seeing when she did that dance i knew it was a familiar move

I have no knowledge of it, HOWEVER, i'm not saying it's a good thing she did, unless it wasn't intentionally to mock a culture

anyway, i don't like how other people from another fandom, who doesn't even stan loona, talk shit, as if their ults hasn't done any worse- AND IM NOT SAYING CAUSE I HATE THEM PLUS I ACTUALLY STAN OTHER GROUPS, but I don't go around saying ' oh loona did culture appropriation', ' treasure are racist ', ' oh my girl made fun of __ ', ' everglow disrespected __ people ', for fuck sake some idols have done WAY WORSE, and don't think that YOUR faves haven't done anything that's offensive to other cultures

please don't forget other idols, in fact i think almost all idols have done racist and culture appropriation acts, but that doesn't mean you hate them, instead you have to educate them because sending death threats won't teach them how to respect and acknowledge other cultures

no idols are perfect

unless they are actually heartless and ignorant then obviously they should be cancelled for real

instead of hating other groups, just don't say anything and focus on YOUR favourite group and EDUCATE them, and STOP giving a bad example to other fandoms because honestly you are making your fandom look bad and that's why you're known as one of the toxic fans

i won't mention which group or fandom, again, im not hating this group or fandom in fact i like this group, like a chill listener of their songs, but i just don't like how they bashed on loona like that, because i know damn well this group has done a LOT of culture appropriation in their songs

okay come to think of it, with the way i describes them it's kind of obvious who they are but again no hate, they are a group full with talented and beautiful people

however, i wish that ALL groups do get educated, because you do know how some concepts do offend, but i can't speak for them

oh and also

if you aren't for example Native American, and hate on a group for having a Native American concept

SHUT THE FUCK UP.

DONT speak for them, and DONT say anything at all, you aren't from THEIR country so zip it

anyway I just really wanted to get it out of my chest

also I'm not saying this fandom has full of toxics, i know for sure there's a lot of amazing and supportive fans in the fandom
