It was already midnight, the 1st Sunday of the month. They were both laid on the rooftop of the manor, looking at the stars and feeling the cold breeze hit their skin. This was one of the moments Althea loved to cherish. Every worry, every problem was forgotten, it was time for her to rewind.

Althea later spent the rest of her weekend touring Abigail around town in her car, having a mini road trip at night and releasing all the stress to the wind, enjoying the time they had left until they had to return to the stressful school life.

The next morning consisted of Alessandro trying to wake up the stubborn pair. After a while, he finally had enough of their antics and decided to sprinkle a small amount of water to wake them up for the last time which resulted in him being chased around the house for a good 10 minutes.

When they eventually got him, his clothes were drenched, from top to bottom with freezing cold water. Satisfied with the results, the - now - giddy pair began to get ready, leaving the 27-year-old frowning in deep regret, along with the urge to clean up his kitchen.

———

Althea decided to wear her newly thrifted black, vintage, off-the-shoulder thigh-length dress, which had long mesh lantern sleeves and a cinched waist that accentuated her figure. She matched it with her black leather boots which reached up to her knees, showing a bit of skin.

For jewelry, she wore an Amethyst pendant, pentagram earrings, then a nazar, black tourmaline, rose quartz, and a couple more silver rings that accentuated her long pale fingers.

The moment Abigail entered the car, Stevie Nicks' voice can be heard booming through the car speakers. Althea adored Fleetwood Mac. She'd usually have different tastes in music every week, but she swore every time that 'Stevie is superior'.

———

Althea began to drive, quickly stopping by a small cafe and fetching takeout for her and Abigail when she swore she saw a familiar-looking pixie-haired beauty stare at her from afar. After a few more minutes of contemplating whether she did see Alice, she shrugged it off thinking that she was being delusional, and continued with the task at hand, walking towards the obsidian-colored car with paper bags at the dispense of her hands.

"What took you so long?" Abigail asked, looking at her cousin

"it was nothing, just a long line at the cashier that's all" she lied, handing the brown bags to the blonde, before giving her a small smile and driving again to school.

Abigail stared at her skeptically, but thought nothing of it afterward and began peacefully drinking her coffee.

———

As usual, just like every other day, lunch quickly came by and the students began to pile up in the cafeteria, urging to see what was on the menu.

Althea quietly made her way to their regularly used table and began waiting for her friends to arrive. Not bothering to text Abigail because she had already informed her beforehand.

"Hi, er- is this seat taken?" She heard a small voice ask, looking up to see an unfamiliar pale brunette awkwardly stand across her with a tray full of food

"It's not. Here, why don't you come and sit next to me" she offered nicely, moving her chair

The newer girl shyly thanked her before sitting down and introducing herself.

"I'm Isabella, but I'd prefer it if you call me Bella," she said, offering her hand as Althea shook it

"It's nice to meet you, Bella, my name's Althea." she said with a small smile, "I just got here as well, I've been here for just a little over a week. I know I can't be called an 'expert' when it comes to high school, but if you need anything, you can come to me" Althea wanted Bella to feel as welcome as she could, so she decided a conversation might be a great ice breaker.

Hearing someone be new to this experience made her feel some type of comfort, so for the first time today, Bella found herself sincerely smiling at her newfound friend.

Both brunettes talked for a while until they felt another presence beside them sit.

"Oh Bella, this is my cousin Abigail. She also just started today" Althea watched as the pair both got acquainted, creating a small conversation with each other before the rest of the group - besides Angela - sat in the spare seats

"Angela had to go home for lunch, but she says she'll be back in time for next period" Zuri answered right before Althea could ask, sitting down next to her sister, Dionne.

"Oh- who are they?" The short brunette — Jessica asked, taking a seat beside Abigail

"Right- this is my cousin Abigail, and this is Bella." She started, clearing her throat before continuing "Abby, Bella. These are my friends. Dionne, Zuri and Jessica. You'll probably have a chance to meet Angela later"

They all introduced themselves again, falling into small conversations once again, but a particular pair couldn't seem to tear their eyes away from each other.

———

The weather had become more gloomy as the hours passed, so she made it her mission to get home on time after school.

When Althea entered her final class, she was surprised to see Alice sitting next to her assigned desk, giving her a small smile before she could register it in her mind.

"Hi! I hope you don't mind me sitting here" the small brunette exclaimed, a smile still plastered on her lips

"Of course not," the hazel-eyed girl responded, reciprocating the smile as she sat down.

Althea swore she could hear her own heart beating fast at this small interaction. She has to admit, Alice is even more beautiful upfront. With the little space between them, you can admire her features better. Her almost 'yellow' colored eyes looked and felt more hypnotizing, Alice's short, dark brown hair perfectly framed her face, and don't even get Althea started on how soft Alice's lips looked. She wondered how soft they could be if she would-

Althea stopped. She knew it would be wrong to think these thoughts and mind you, she has never thought about these ever about anyone else before, but there was something about Alice Cullen that made her wonder if she could do those forbidden ideas with her. Together.
