Althea wasn't sleeping, no. It was like she was resting her eyes. Her body was somewhat asleep, but her mind was wandering elsewhere. There were endless possibilities and endless realities as to where it could be, but it still ended up on a certain pixie-like brunette, who has been beautifully haunting her every day.

At first, her day started like every 'normal' Friday.

~Flashback~

Althea's POV

I felt several pairs of eyes focused on me the moment I walked out of the study hall, and so of course as any other person would, I looked around to see who they belonged to, only to focus my gaze on the Cullen family who seemed to be glaring at me - excluding Alice who gave me a warm smile which I happily reciprocated, forgetting about the slightly malicious stares being given to me by the rest of her family.

Shrugging it off after a couple more seconds later, I continued walking to my next class thinking nothing of it and instead paid attention to my teachers.

———

Forgetting about what had happened earlier, she went on about her day with Abigail, until she was stopped by the very person she was talking about, Alice.

"Hi Althea" She exclaimed, shyly looking down, trying to find what to say next before lifting her head upwards, only to see Althea alone which would've made heat rise to her cheeks if she was human.

"Hey Alice, is there anything I can help you with?" Althea questioned suspiciously due to the fact that Alice rarely talked to her outside of their shared classroom, although she wasn't complaining, after all, she did love spending time with the adorable Cullen.

"Yeah, about that. I- I was wondering if you'd maybe like to-" Alice was suddenly interrupted when Rosalie abruptly pulled her away, not before giving Althea a weird look, which was weird, considering Rosalie and Althea never had any interaction between them, leaving alone a confused looking Althea wanting to know if Alice was going to say what she thought she would.

~End of Flashback~

She was taken out of her trance when she felt a set of eyes stare at her, so she sat up using her arms, and tried to see who it was.

She expected it to be Alessandro, or maybe even Abigail, but instead, all she saw was a mere shadow. A fast one. She began to think that it was just her imagination until she saw an all too familiar bracelet when she went to investigate the area.

Of course, her mind wandered off to Alice. After all, she's seen this on her wrist multiple times, but she couldn't help but wonder, why was Alice's bracelet on her floor? More importantly, how did it end up here, and who was that shadow?
