He was free of suspicion by the police, but Aliyah was still facing consequences for actions she did not commit. Y/n's head had been aching at just the thought of it. She knows Axel has something to do with this, he has to. Everything leads to him, right?

Or maybe she's just going haywire from the whole situation. Who knows?

She was deep in thought as her father and she sat at a booth in an Italian restaurant. He wanted to get her out and do something unrelated to her brother or the notes. He knows just how bad everything had been affecting her, so he hopes this little outing can help ease her up.

"So, I heard their pasta dishes are pretty good here. Oh, there's an alfredo, your favorite," Y/n was interrupted from her thoughts as her father muttered on about the menu.

Oh, the alfredo does look good.

It was odd. It felt as though there was tension at the table, which had never happened between them before. But, they knew why. It's not easy knowing someone, for weeks or months, has been trying to get into your daughter's pants. And it's certainly not easy being said daughter.

"About Axe--" Y/n started but her father raised his hand, implying for her to stop.

"No talk about anything police, stalker, or anything brother related. You need one night to relax and I don't know--talk to me about whatever. Like your grades! You better make sure they don't drop. I know your brother is in the hospital but that's no excuse for a C," her father's face held a smirk as he jokingly gave her a mini-lecture. It's clear he really did not care about her grades at the moment, but the tense air lessened a little.

"Yeah, yeah don't worry," she answered in a warm tone.

Just like that, the tension disappeared--as if it wasn't even there in the first place.

"Axel. You're crossing lines here, do you understand that?! I can't keep blackmailing police departments left and fucking right!" Axel's father was trying to scold him, but it wasn't working for the fact that Axel just did not care. His father and he don't actually speak much, and the only time they do is when something serious happens such as the police getting involved, like now.

"Police questioning for murder?! I cannot do this with you again!" Axel knows god damn well he does not care. His father just gets annoyed at the few extra papers he needs to fill out. Deciding it was enough, Axel simply hung up the phone. Their father-son dynamic wasn't like the typical father-son dynamic in other families. Axel's father may have the entire town under his thumb, but his son can easily control him like strings on a puppet.
