Someone was mad.

That someone was Ethan.

"He's not going to step one foot in this household I swear to god. Y/n, you're so gullible it hurts," Ethan fought with his sister as she was picking out her outfit for the dinner. It's not like she was trying to impress him, honestly she doesn't even really like him. She just has a fucking heart and wants to give Axel a chance.

"Gullible? Okay, well sorry for feeling bad about framing an innocent guy for murder."

"Axel? Innocent? C'mon, be real right now."

Y/n sighed as she turned to look at her dramatic brother, who should be resting right now but is wasting his breath on her.

"In terms of murder, yes. That's a huge accusation that I threw out. I know you too have issues and I know he's not a good guy. But maybe this is his way of making some sort of amends."

Y/n tried to reason with her brother, but she knew nothing would change his mind. What she didn't know, was the fact that Axel is a perverted creep obsessed with her (Ethan's words). They both stared at each other in stubbornness, neither backing down. Their wall of tension broke though as their father walked in.

"What's going on in here?" He asked with a strict, parental tone. Ethan only looked the other way, irritated with the situation.

"Ethan's being close-minded," Y/n popped out, also irritated. Their father sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Look, both of you have valid points. I know Axel isn't a good guy, trust me I've seen him, but murder is a big accusation. Many people have ended up dead becuase of framing so it's important to clear the air. Whether you like it or not Ethan, he's coming for dinner. And Y/n, you need to remember the fact that he's not a good guy--don't just forget all the shit he's done, okay? One dinner and I never want to see him again."

Both of them nodded, Y/n more ethusiatically.

"Ethan, you need to rest. Leave your sister alone," their father said as he walked Ethan out, finally giving Y/n some peace.

As she basked in her alonetime, her mind wandered back to the note she had found on her nightstand. She was planning on telling her father after dinner, mainly because she knew he would blow off the dinner to focus on the note.

Shivers went down her spine at the thought of that person in her house, the one who tried to kill her brother. She was thankful though he didn't go back for a second try because if he would, Ethan wouldn't make it this time.
