"So, let's start. There's one suspect that I can think of off the top of my head, but there's still more," I stated, "But let's start off with the main suspect,"
"And who would that be?" Koki asked.
I looked at him and pointed, "It's you,"
"H- What?" He was thrown off guard.
"Makes sense," Kaz nodded.
"How does it make sense?" Koki asked calmly.
"You were alone, weren't you? And you clean up things well, you had plenty of time to kill him," I explained.
"How do you know none of them were alone," He gestured towards Shin, Ayu, Takahiro, Kunihiko, and Yokichi.
"Yokichi was with me, actually!" Kunihiko giggled.
"And I was with Takahiro, she gets anxious being alone!" Shin nodded, "I was protecting her!"
"So that leaves more than me under suspicion, doesn't it?" Koki pushed up his glasses, "Also, I do have an alibi. I suspected I would seem suspicious, but I was reading." He took a book out of his bag, it looked like it came from the library, it had a tag on it.
"So it was Ayu, I fuckin' knew it," Kaz shook her head.
"Not so fast, we still need evidence that it was Ayu," I explained.
"Do any of y'all know where the hell she was the whole time?" Kaz asked.

A few people shook their heads, the rest pondered on the question. I sighed.

"That doesn't automatically mean she was the killer," I explained.
"I didn't go to the second floor, actually," Ayu stated.
"How do we know that?" Koki asked.
"Yeah, w-we didn't see you anywhere-" Yokichi said, "So you weren't on the first floor,"
"And you didn't leave the second floor, me and Mamoru woulda seen you," Kaz stated.
"I never said I was on the first floor, and I already said I wasn't on the second, I was up on the new floor," She shrugged, "Wanted to check it out,"
"That actually does make sense," Koki sighed.
"That means there's...only one other possibility right..?" Shin asked, unsure.
I nodded, "It...was a suicide."

Everyone was silent. Including myself.

Koki broke the silence, "He WOULDN'T kill himself. There has to be one of you that's lying!!"
"Koki, everyone already proved their innocence, there's no possible way," I shook my head.
"ONE OF YOU IS LYING-!" He shouted, tears were starting to form in his eyes.
"Unless it's you, none of us lied, jackass," Kaz shrugged.

Koki dropped to his knees at the same time the buzzer sounded. We assumed it was time to vote. It was an almost anonymous vote for Shichiro, besides one vote for Koki. Most likely from himself. There was a dinging sound, signifying we were right. The doors opened. Was there not going to be an execution? All but Koki and I left the room. Koki was most definitely crying. I sat next to him.

"Koki, we gotta go," I patted his shoulder.
"He...would still be here if I brought him with me..." He shook his head, "It's completely my fault, I should be punished-"
"It's not your fault, none of us knew it would happen," I stated.
"No, Mamoru, you...you don't understand," He shook his head again, he sniffled, "I loved him,"
"You did?" I asked.
He nodded, "We were going to make it out together, he promised,"
I nodded, "Well, don't you think he would want you to get up and keep going? C'mon, do it for him!" I stood up.
He sniffled again and stood up as well, he nodded, "I'll believe you, Mamoru. You are...quite a good friend to me,"
"I try my best," I nervously laughed a little, "Let's go, I think it's about time to settle into bed,"
"Alright, let's go," He nodded.

We walked out of the trial room and down the dorm room hall. He entered his room and I continued walking down to mine. There were 7 of us left. The numbers were getting quite small. I sighed and entered my room. I laid on my bed and passed out. I still had a pounding headache from the pool. I didn't want to think about it, but I wondered who would go next.
