Yokichi was sitting in a chair, his head was on the table. He looked like he was asleep, but he didn't seem like it. Kunihiko walked towards him.
"Yokichi...?" She shook his shoulder, "Yokichi w-wake up,"
He fell out of the chair. His neck had marks of strangulation on it. He was dead. Kunihiko screamed and fell back. The announcements rang out with the same obnoxious sound as it did many times before. Along came Monokuma's voice.
"A body has been discovered! Now then, after a certain amount of time, which you can use however you would like, the class trial will begin!"
I sighed and walked over to Kunihiko.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
She shook her head, "He...was my best friend, and now he's dead..!"
I patted her shoulder, "Yeah, believe or not, I know how it feels, you'll get through this, but he would want you to find his killer and make his death honorable, right?"
She nodded, "I...think you're right, let's do this then..!"
"That's the Kunihiko I know," I said under my breath. We walked over to the scene. The marks on his neck were legit, but there was no rope, or anything of the sort, near him or on him. I decided to go look around. I noticed there was a trail of blood not too far from the body. I followed it past a few bookshelves. It came out from behind one of the shelves. The rope was there. Along with a pile of stuffing, and pink fabric. I followed the path back. The others had gathered there as well. I walked over to the rest of them.
"Do you guys have anything that can help?" I asked.
"I have no fucking clue what's going on, I was in my room all day. Well, I did go to the kitchen at one point, and I might've left my door open, I think, 'cause I didn't grab my card thing," Kaz stated.
"Did you see anyone out there?" I asked.
"Ayu was walking around, kinda, I dunno," She shrugged.
Ayu nodded, "I was bored, and no one was around, and I didn't wanna sit in my room,"
"She went down to the kitchen after I did, as far as I'm aware," Kaz stated, "But that's all I know,"
"Are you sure that's all you know?" I asked.
She nodded, "Well, Stitches disappeared after I went to the kitchen, so I went out to look for them, but he completely disappeared,"
"...I think I know where he is..." I stated.
"Are you guys done? We need to get back to the investigation," Koki broke in.
"Oh, yeah- I'll tell you later," I shook my head.I walked over to his body. There wasn't any external injuries, besides the strangulation marks. There was blood coming from his mouth, along with his eyes looking like they were filled with blood. The table was relatively clean. The blood must've been dried by the time he was put there. I know that Koki, Shin, Takahiro, and I are safe from suspicion. Kunihiko wouldn't kill Yokichi, especially with the reaction she had. It had to be either Kaz, Ayu, or another suicide. There were reasons why it wasn't any of them, or as to why it was. I took note of all the evidence I found. Takahiro tapped my shoulder.
"Huh? What is it?" I asked.
She made a hand gesture to follow her, so I did. She pointed out a piece of fabric caught on the edge of a bookshelf. It was a pink-ish color. Strange. It was a different shade from the other fabric.
"Is this what you wanted to show me?" I asked.
Takahiro nodded.
"Ah, thank you," I slightly smiled, "This isn't a very noticeable clue, clearly,"
She smiled a bit as well, she let out a small sound that seemed like a giggle of sorts..?
"Was that you?" I asked.
Her face flushed, she took out her notebook and wrote, "What do you mean?"
I shook my head, "Nevermind, don't worry about it,"We walked back over to the scene. They didn't seem to have found anything else on the scene of the crime. I sighed. Koki looked to be the only one still focused, as usual. I sighed and walked over to the rest of the group.
"Have you guys found anything else?" I asked.
"No, there's barely anything," Ayu shrugged.
"She's right, though I hate to admit it," Koki sighed.
I was kinda taken aback, "That seems off, have you guys checked out the area behind the bookshelf?"
"Not all of us," Koki shrugged.
"So some of you have?" I asked.
"Yeah, I have, and so has Ayu, as far as I'm aware that's it," Koki replied.
"That's...great," I sighed.
"The killers sure are getting better, huh," Koki rolled his eyes.
"As far as I'm aware, there's really only two suspects," I shrugged.
"Two? I only got one from my evidence," Koki replied. The speakers turned on.
"Time's up! Please gather by the red doors once more for the class trial!" Monokuma laughed and the speakers turned off.
Koki and I exchanged a look. He sighed.
"Well, we will see who's suspicion is correct when we get there, I guess," He laughed a little.
I laughed a little as well, and sighed, "I guess so,"The small group made our way down to the trial room doors, this might be ending soon, this could be one of the last times we do this. I took the knowledge I learned from this case with me and entered the room with the rest of them.
