Level 10

Feeling the cool AC air blow on you gave you shivers from the sudden coldness as you walked into your classroom. You heard people talking, but ignored them, sitting at your seat.

"Hey Y/n!" Kou's toothy smile greeted you along with a wave. You smiled back and looked at him.

"Good morning Kou!" You replied, your h/c hair swaying a bit. Kou looked away a bit flustered and scratching the back of his neck.

"So I-I was wondering um.. Would you like to come over to my place later?" He questioned, looking a little more red after he said the sentence.

"Oh, um- of course!" You replied. Kou looked at you and smiled wider.

"Great! Um- that's great!" Kou kept doing weird hand movements as he talked. "Yeah I'll um- yeah we can go after school! So, see ya then!" and then he left.

During class you couldn't help but feel someone's eyes on you, so you scanned the classroom and Kous' eyes met with yours. His eyes widened and looked back at his classwork. The day continued on but he kept looking at you, strange.

As class finished you picked up your books and went to your locker. Putting them away and grabbing the books for your next class and closing your locker, a girl came up to you.

Oh shoot.. It's her.. You tried walking quickly to your next class but she stopped you.

"Aren't you the girl who talks to air!?" The girl asked, disrespect filling her voice. You sighed, you're not gonna take this.

"Aren't you the girl that I heard say that you'd put all of your 'friends' names in the Death note along with everyone else in our class? And then you're obsessed with anime but you go up to other people that watch anime and judge them because they like to talk about it?" You shot back, she glared at you.

"Th-that was a joke!" She quickly lied, you rolled your eyes.

"Making fun of people is NOT a joke!! You've even made fun of me for watching anime! But if we go on your TikTok. THAT'S ALL YOU TALK ABOUT! But when ME or SOMEONE ELSE talks about it you're just like 'oh my gosh you're so obsessed that's so weird!' so just shut up!" You then walked off, books in hand. You went throughout the day, getting glared at by that girl.

When school got out you started walking to Kou's house with him.

"I saw that girl messing with you.. Are you all right?" Kou asked, concern filling his eyes as he looked at you. You looked away to the pavement you walked on.

"Oh- uh- yep I'm fine! I can deal with it myself." You stated, Kou still looked concerned as he frowned. You just rolled your eyes as you kept walking. "Seriously, I'm fine." You said. Kou just nodded.

"Well.. do you even know her name?" Kou questioned, you shook your head. It has only been a few days and you haven't learned everyone's names. "Well, her name is Soraya, she kinda-" You cut him off. "Has power over the girls in our class?" You finished the sentence, Kou nodded.

"Well yeah... people have tried standing up to her but.. Never would be able to accomplish it without saying sorry in the end because they wanted to keep the peace, so Soraya just gets stronger." Kou said, you nodded.

"Well.. not over me..." You sighed as you got to Kous house.

"You have a beautiful house Kou!" You complimented. Kou smiled.

"Thank you Y/n! Why don't we go in?" Kou replied as he held the door open for you. You stepped inside the house. Automatically you could see how the space inside was huge. The walk-in area was very big with a chandelier sticking to the ceiling, there were stairs that led to the upstairs. The flooring on the first level was wood, as you went up the stairs you could see that the stairs and upstairs were carpet, aside from the bathroom which was tile flooring. You got to Kous' room.

His room, like the rest of the house, was huge. The walls were painted a light blue, he had a big bed with dark blue sheets. There was a bookcase along the wall across from the bed, and a bean bag. There was more, but you didn't pay attention.

"So! What do you wanna do?" Kou asked, sitting on his bed. You thought.

Do you-

A- you want to just talk with him

B- play a game

If A-

You just asked to talk. The two of you started to talk.

"So, what do you wanna be when you grow up?" You asked the boy, he smiled wide.

"An exorcist, like Teru-nii!" Kou responded, looking excited. You kept looking at him.

"Does... Teru.. ever I don't know.. Does he force that on you?" You questioned the blonde, Kous' smile faded.

"I-I wouldn't say force-" You gave him the 'tell me the truth' look. "But... kinda..." Kou replied, hanging his head a little. You hugged him.

" Do what makes you happy!" You said. Kou nodded. "Being an exorcist does make me happy! Just the way Teru-nii wants me to do... I don't like it." Kou replied. You shrugged.

"Do it your own way then! You don't have to do it his way!!" You replied, Kou looked and smiled at you. "Thanks Y/n you're right... you always are.."

If B-

You just wanted to play a game, so you and kou decided to play tag. Kou started chasing you as you ran around the house, you were both laughing and having fun.

Until you slipped and scraped your knee. You let out a wince in pain.

"Motherf-" Kou cut you off. "Are you okay!?" he asked, seeing you on the ground. His eyes widened. "Oh my gosh you're bleeding!! One sec!!" The boy looked frantic and found a first aid kit. He disinfected the wound and placed a band aid on it.

"Okay, are you okay!? Does it really hurt!?" kou was really worried about you. You assured him everything is okay.
