45. The Highs of Dating

Pareho kaming nagkatinginan ni Jason habang nakaharap sa salamin at sabay na nagtawanan. I'm done fixing myself and already reapplied my lipstick while he's still wiping the side of his mouth with wet wipes. Sinubukan na niyang maghilamos but the red stain around his lips were still visible.

"Ako na..." Hinarap ko ito at inagaw ang hawak-hawak niyang pamunas. I held his left jaw and moved it to face me before I started wiping his face. "I'm sorry..."

It's a really sincere apology pero 'di ko talaga mapigilang matawa. I mean, what has gotten into me? I was on a high (clearly am still on it) when I heard him talk to my mother that way about me. Bago palang kami ni Jason sa relasyong ito, and most of the time, we express our feelings towards each other through our actions kaya naman nang marinig ko ang mga salitang 'yun galing sakanya kanina, butterflies automatically invaded my guts. I can feel them fluttering all over me, taking over both my mind and body. And so I ended up kissing him... which is probably too much. Alam kong masyado akong na-carried away kanina kaya hindi ko gets kung ba't ako nag-panic nang makita kong kalat na kalat na ang lipstick ko and most of it were on his lips!

Mabuti nalang at pareho kaming mabilis na mag-isip, siguro ay dahil sa experience na rin namin noon, kaya agad naming hinila ang isa't-isa sa pinakamalapit na banyo which explains why we're here.

"Alam mo..." paninimula nito. He laughed while both of his hands were on my sides, leaning on the sink while I'm standing in front of him. Tiningnan ko lang naman siya habang medyo dinidiinan ang pagpupunas.

Now I really can't tell if it's red because of my lipstick or because of how I'm wiping it harshly. Help...

God, we're already here and we haven't even eaten yet.

"Ano?"

"Now that I think of it, I finally realized na wala kang kissproof na lipsticks-"

Napakunot ang noo ko dahil 'dun.

"What? I mean, oo... Wala talaga because I really don't own much lipsticks, madalas ay nagli-lipgloss lang ako because of work but how did you-"

He chuckled, stealing the wet wipes from me to finish my work. "Masyado mong dinidiinan..." He hissed as he leaned to look at himself in the mirror, I moved to the side and waited for his gaze to fall on me again. "Whenever we make out, I always get these... Kahit noong... dati pa,"

I bit back a smile, but ended up pursing my lips before patting his cheek. "Pasensya ka na ha. Next time 'di na kita hahalikan-" and before I could even finish my sentence, he kissed me again. Of course. I hummed against his lips and placed my hand on his chest before pulling away, "Hindi ako nagrereklamo Bebi. I'm just pointing out an observation."

"Huh? Really?" I smirked.

"Yeah, really. And I really don't mind it at all..." he grinned, looking at me first then staring at himself in the mirror. May kaunti pang bahid ng lipstick ko sa paligid ng bibig nito na patuloy niya paring inaalis, "Although I think 'di bagay sa 'kin ang shade na 'to. Yours, it looks gorgeous... But on mine? 'Di ako sigurado."

I can't help but to laugh along with him. Hinampas ko ang braso nito saka tinulungan siyang punasan ang gilid ng bibig niya.

"Sira!"

Awa ng Diyos at nakalabas naman kami pareho ng banyo na walang nakakahuli sa 'min. We went back to the party as if nothing happened. Magkahawak ang mga kamay namin habang pumipila kami para kumuha ng pagkain but of course, it didn't last long. Unang lumapit para mangamusta sakanya ay si Kuya Landon, he introduced Kaia and of course, the birthday girl to him. Ako na ang may hawak-hawak ng pinggan ni Jason because he's already busy playing with my favorite niece that is already in his arms. Siyempre, being a toddler, mahirap pa para kay Rosie ang magsalita... Mostly ay Mama at Papa palang ang alam nito but she keeps on babbling at Jason as if her words were making sense, tas si Jas din naman ay sinasagot ito na parang may ideya siya sa pinagsasabi ng bata.
