The sunlight that creeped through the shoji caused Y/n to flutter her eyes open. Cicadas chirping as early as today, Y/n reached over to caress her beloved's cheek, admiring how peaceful he looked in his sleep.

It's rare to see him in peace, other when he is asleep. He's always been quite outspoken and an ass but, he still is her beloved.

Kissing him on the forehead gently, she leaned down to brush the hairs stuck on his forehead away. The sunlight that peaked through the windows illuminated the best of his features, highlighting his beauty.

"I love you," she whispered softly into his ear, knowing that he won't even hear it but she couldn't help it.

Pulling Y/n close to his chest, the man grumbled in annoyance, "stay.." was all he could muster out between his lips.

Hugging him back, Y/n chuckled out a quick alright as she laid back down next to him.

The stubborn man pulled her to his chest and demanded, "clear your schedule today, we're spending what others call "quality time" today."

Y/n laughs, "if you wanted some cuddles just say so you stubborn man." Y/n savours the moment as she inhales his deep musky scent.

"Why would I want to "cuddle" you? I'm just doing it so the other members think that I'm a good husband."

"Yeah yeah, we get it weirdo you want cuddles but don't wanna admit it," Y/n pulls him closer and tighter.

"Shut it woman."

It was warm and comforting, although they did get married for their own clans, maybe Naoya does like Y/n.

Maybe a little more than he realises.

It was a lot more to be honest.

He proceeded to hug her without letting go for the rest  of the day, playing with her hair and genuinely talking to her.

As they drifted off to sleep again, he mumbles into her ear,

"I love you."
