Chapter 6: Saving

-Glenn's POV-

"Rick? Do you know where Dani is? I need to talk to her." I ask Rick.

"She's not back yet?" He asks, freaking out.

"Back from where?!" I ask, worried.

"She went looking for Sophia." He starts shaking.

"I'm going to go look for her." I say, grabbing my knife and axe.

"Be careful? Please?" He asks.

"Always." I say, running off into the woods.

"Dani!" I say as I see her laying on the ground, passed out. I search her up and down for bites, and once I see none, a huge weight is lifted off of my shoulders.

I pick her up bridal style, running towards the farm.

-Dani's POV-

I wake up in a bed. In the farm? Did someone find me out in the woods?

I look to my left and see Glenn sitting a chair, sleeping, with my hand in his.

He wakes up slowly, seeing me, and hugging me. "Thank God you're alright." He sighs.

"How long have I been out? 2 or 3 hours?" I ask.

"3 days." He says, making my eyes go wide.

"How long were you sitting there?!"

"Since I brought you in here three days ago." He says.

"Glenn, can you come lay by me?" I ask once I look at my watch and see it's 1 in the morning.

"Yeah, sure." He says, climbing onto the bed, wrapping his arms around my waist and my arms wrapped around his neck and my head nuzzled in the crook of his neck.

"Goodnight Glenny." I say, making a new nickname.

He chuckles. "Goodnight Dani."

And with that I fell asleep.
