Dekus pov:

I watched mineta run off after screaming at him. I looked down to see the bouquet of flowers he dropped. I keeled down and picked it up. After staring at it, I looked up to my mom to see her staring at me. I can't tell what emotion that is, but I don't care. Everything I said was true. I stood back up and clenched the flowers, smushing them. "Mom." I looked at my feet.

No answer. Just silence. "He killed him, mom."
"How-"
"After I told iida who had a crush on me, he was so surprised, he literally died."

"...that boy has a crush on you?" She said after a while.
"I don't care anymore."
"Honey, he didn't even do anything-"
"I know mom!" I fell to my knees sobbing. "I know he didn't do anything wrong! It's just so hard! If he never liked me none of this wouldve never happened!!"
She held me as I covered my face with my hands, sobbing.
"...and... I would've never felt this... this feeling..."
"What?"

I went silent.

"I think I like him, mom."

Mineta pov:

I ran through the woods, ignoring the twigs and vines cutting me as I go. I couldn't stop crying. I finally sat down in a pile of deer shit and took time to breathe.

I sighed. He really hates me now... What did I do? I don't even know how iida died. This is all iidas fault. That selfish bitch decided to die and ruin what me and deku had...
"C....can we p-pretend that airplanes in the night sky are shooting stars..?" I sang softly.

"I could really use a wish right now wish right now..."

I looked up to see deku out of breath, with my flowers. His eyes were puffy like he's been crying. He smiled sweetly at me.
"Wish right nowowow" I finished. Then he I jumped up as he dashed towards me and we hugged each other tightly.

"Mineta... I'm so sorry. Iidas death wasn't your fault... I was just in pain."
I went silent. "Deku... I'm sorry for ruining your life..."
"Huh?" He let go of me and had his hands on my shoulders.
I started to tear up. "If I hadn't had a stupid crush on you-"
"Mineta. I like you."
"W-what?" I wiped my tears.
"I like you mineta. Like you like me. You didn't ruin my life mineta. You made it better. (even though we've been friends for 2 seconds)"
