Chapter 3

"Helloooo" Sunoo called put as Hyewun was pulled out of her trance

 "Dude you've been staring at the rooftop for like forever" Sunoo laughed

 "Yeah was it really that great when you went up there?" Ni-ki asked

 "It's nothing" Hyewun said

 "Okkk" Sunoo said as he walked up ahead

 "Wait up!" Hyewun said as she ran to catch up with the others

 "Hurry up slowpoke" Jungwon teased

 "I'm not slow, I bet I can out run all of you" Hyewun grumbled

 "Oh yeah?" Ni-ki laughed

 "Yep!" Hyewun exclaimed as she started running past them

 "Last one to the playground is the rotten egg!" Hyewun yelled

 Hyewun was the first one at the playground, Hyewun stood there as she caught her breath waiting for the others. Once the others caught up

 (Jungwon and Sunoo ended tying)

 "Never again" Hyewun panted

 "You were the one that r-ran" Sunoo panted. struggling to talk

 "Whatever, anyways since you guys were the rotten eggs, this is your punishment" Hyewun said

 "Pay for our drinks" Hyewun laughed

 "WHAT?!? NO FAIR" Jungwon whined

 "Yes fair, I ran here and won, you were the slowpokes" Hyewun said

  "Yeah yeah, stop bragging about you winning, let's just get the drinks and go" Sunoo rolled his eyes

Hyewun had hung out with the others for over an hour and has gotten to know them well. The more she got to know them, the more she was dreading the next move. Usually Hyewun couldn't care less about moving schools but this time she knew she would be genuinely upset when her parents dropped the bomb on her that they were moving again. But that was for the future, right now she should just focus on that fact that she's here now. Hyewun was like looking through her book bag when she realized she had forgotten something at school.

 "Uhm guys..." Hyewun said

 "Is something wrong?" Sunoo asked

 "I might've left my homework back at school" Hyewun said

 "WHAT? How?" Sunoo panicked

 "Well today when I got my lunch out on the rooftop, I must have left me folder on the bench somehow" Hyewun shrugged

 "And you realize this now?!? After school hours?" Ni-ki groaned

 "Uh yeah?" Hyewun shrugged

 "Do you want us to go with you?" Jungwon asked

 "No it's fine, I'm just gonna run to the school and get it, I'm heading home after anyways" Hyewun said

 "Are you sure? You could get lost" Sunoo said

 "I'm sure" Hyewun said

 "See you guys tomorrow!" Hyewun said as she waved goodbye to all of them before heading back towards the school

 It wasn't suppose to get dark outside for at least another hour so Hyewun was sure she could navigate the town by herself. But now that she was walking towards the school, she wished she would've accepted their offer to come with her. Hyewun walked up to the entrance of the school and luckily the school hadn't locked it's doors yet. Hyewun walked into the school and to say the least, the school was much different from the day time. In the daytime the halls were filled with students but now the hallways were just lit with a few dim lights.

 Hyewun shivered. 

"This looks like a scene from a horror movie" Hyewun said to herself

 "Whatever just get to the rooftop and get you homework" Hyewun thought to herself again

 Hyewun braced herself before speed walking through the hallways, not daring to look back or into the dark empty classrooms. Even though Hyewun knew this school wasn't even haunted. Finally Hyewun got to the familiar entrance of the rooftop and it's

 "DO NOT ENTER SIGN"

 Hyewun looked to see if anyone was around before opening the door and walking up to the rooftop. 

"Now where did I leave my folder" Hyewun said as she began looking around

 "What are you looking for?" a voice said from behind her

 Hyewun jumped before letting out a scream. 

"STAY BACK!" she screamed

 Hyewun turned around and felt slight relief but mostly anger.

 "Jake! What are you doing here? You almost gave me a heart attack geez" Hyewun said glaring at Jake

 "Eh I was just finishing up homework here, I'd rather do it here then at home" Jake shrugged

 "I was just about to leave when you came up" Jake laughed

 "Right right and was scaring me really that necessary?" Hyewun said

 "Nah just for fun" Jake laughed

 "Hey!" Hyewun yelled before holding a fist up to Jake

 "Anyways, since I'm nice I'll forgive you, and also I need your help looking for something" Hyewun said

 "I'm guessing you came back for the folder you left here?" Jake said as he looked at the red folder laying on the bench a few feet away

 "There it is!" Hyewun exclaimed

 "Thanks!" Hyewun said

 Jake just nodded and gave a smile. 

"Wanna walk out together? You said you were done anyways" Hyewun said

 "I'm good, my ride should be here soon, you should get going" Jake said

 "Hm ok if you say so" Hyewun said

 "See you tomorrow at lunch time I guess" Hyewun said

 "You bet" Jake smiled

 Hyewun walked down the stairs and braced herself to speed walk through the hallways again. She even thought about going back to ask Jake to walk with her. But decided against it last minute. Hyewun went through the hallways this time, but instead of speed walking she ran. Once Hyewun got out of the building, she let out a sigh of relief. But soon panicked when she tripped over something.

 Luckily she caught herself before she could take a tumble down the stairs. Hyewun looked down to see a yearbook from the year 2017. 

(It's 2021 in the story)

 "Hm who left this here?" Hyewun asked as she picked it up

 She realized it was a yearbook of the school from that year. 

"But who would leave this here? And why would a student have a book from 2017" Hyewun thought to herself as she walked with the book in hand

 The book didn't seem to be signed with anyone's name so Hyewun just assumed "Finders keepers". Just then Hyewun looked up to see Jake peering over the edge again.

 This time she didn't forget to wave to him, in which she received a wave back from Jake.

"Man, who's she waving to" Sunoo said as he and the other two watched from a far

 "She's even smiling" Jungwon said in shock

 "That's just creepy" Ni-ki shivered as the three saw Hyewun skip happily out of the school property

 Sunoo looked one more time at the rooftop to make sure no one was there, but his eyes were right the first time. 

There was no one there.
