Chapter 6

Jake panicked before grabbing the article from Hyewun's hand.

 "Where'd you get this!" Jake said

 "Answer my question first" Hyewun said

"I-I can't" Jake muttered out

 "And why is that?" Hyewun asked stepping closer to Jake

 Hyewun noticed Jake was beginning to tear up. 

"I didn't mean to make you cry" Hyewun said as she went in to hug Jake

 "Don't!" Jake yelled

 Hyewun's eyes widened as she went to hug Jake but her arms went right through him. Jake stood there as he but his lip nervously. 

"So it's true, you are a ghost" Hyewun said

 Jake just looked down. 

"Why didn't you tell me this, how come I had to find out the hard way?" Hyewun asked

 "I had to find out that you killed yourself" Hyewun's said her voice cracking

 Jake's gaze softened. 

"Honestly, I didn't mean for you to find out, I don't even know how you got that article" Jake said

 "I was thinking that if you found out I was a ghost, you'd get scared and stop coming up here" Jake said

 "Well even if I didn't know I still would've stopped coming up eventually" Hyewun said

 "But it would've been nice if you told me the truth" Hyewun continued

 "I know and again I'm sorry" Jake said

 Hyewun just nodded. 

"It's fine, at least I know now" Hyewun said

 "So you're not gonna run away right?" Jake asked

 "I mean why would I? You're still the Jake I met before right?" Hyewun asked

 "I mean yeah" Jake said

 "See? So there's nothing for me to run away from" Hyewun said

 "Plus you were one of my first friends here" Hyewun said

 "But why are you still here? You know stuck here on a crusty forbidden school roof" Hyewun said

 "And barely any people visit either" Hyewun said

 "Well more people come up here then you think, just not all of them notice me" Jake sighed

 "So you're saying that you're only visible to some people?" Hyewun asked

 "Well yeah, I'm only visible to people who come up here alone" Jake said

 "Because of the rumors, people often come here with their friends because they're scared but every once in awhile there are those people who come up here alone" Jake said

 "That's when they notice me"

 "Ohhh I get it" Hyewun said

 "But the reason I'm stuck on this rooftop is because well, I died here" Jake said

 "Since I chose to end my life here, it means I'm stuck here eternally" Jake said

 "So like you can never leave?" Hyewun asked

 Jake shook his head.

 "Not even if I wanted to to" Jake said

 "So that's why you're always here before me and never leave before me" Hyewun said
