At home: "I'm home!" Hyewun yelled as she entered the door

Her mom popped out from the kitchen

"Hey honey! How was school?" Mrs. Kang yelled

"I met a few people today" Hyewun said

"I'm glad ya did" Mrs. Kang said

"You're dad is working late today" Mrs. Kang

"Isn't this his first day at the building?" Hyewun asked

"This is a pretty big company so there's lots of work to be done" Mrs. Kang said

"Who does he even work for?" Hyewun asked

"Something with a Sim in it" Mrs. Kang said

 Hyewun nodded.

"I'll be upstairs" Hyewun said as she ran up to her new room

By far this was the biggest room she had moved into this year. Hyewun emptied out her bag to start on her homework, when she noticed the yearbook she had found on the school's stairs. Curious, Hyewun flipped the book open, thinking that the pages would wrecked from sitting outside for awhile. Surprisingly, the pages still looked decent and none of the writing was faded. Hyewun flipped through all the pages of the students who were probably already graduated by now and close to graduating at least. Hyewun was looking at the senior section in the yearbook when suddenly a very familiar face popped up.

 "Jake?!?" Hyewun thought to herself

Hyewun rubbed her eyes and even dusted off the page to make sure she wasn't seeing things. But there it was, Jake's school picture sitting right in front of her. The only problem was that this book was from 2017.

"It's probably Jake's older brother" Hyewun said as she looked to the bottom of the page where the names were displayed

Sure enough, the name under it matched the face. Hyewun gasped as she read Jake Sim.

"No way, this had to be a coincidence" Hyewun said

"What's he still doing here? If he was suppose to graduate in 2017" Hyewun thought

"There's no way he got held back for four years right? Unless he really was that dumb"

In the end, Hyewun just decided it was a coincidence and she could ask him about it tomorrow. But for now, she had homework to do.

The next morning: Hyewun had stayed up all night thinking about how Jake was in a yearbook from all the way in 2017. The thought bugged her everywhere she went, she couldn't even focus when Sunoo was telling them about the private yacht his parents had bought for him and his friends for the summer.

"Hyewunnn" she heard Jungwon call out

"Are you not coming to lunch with us?" Sunoo asked

"Lunch? It's already lunch?" Hyewun asked

"I gotta go then, catch ya later" Hyewun said frantically as she grabbed her bag and hurriedly ran out of the classroom

The three boys were left dumbfounded.

"Dang are we seriously that bad?" Ni-ki asked

"Do you think she she has a fear of water or boats since we were talking about it?" Sunoo asked

"Maybe she left something behind... again" Jungwon laughed

"Yeah whatever, I'm sure she'll find us soon" Sunoo said as the three headed to the lunch room together

Hyewun was frantically running to the rooftop again to meet Jake. Hyewun was praying for Jake to be there like the day before, if not it'd make her job a lot harder to track him down. Luckily when Hyewun burst through the door, she saw Jake looking at her slightly scared at how forceful it was.

"H-hey" Hyewun said as she bent down to catch her breath

 "Woahh breath" Jake laughed

"I a-am breathing" Hyewun said but those words just seemed to make her even more out of breath

"Dude what's gotten you so worked up" Jake said

"This" Hyewun said as she grabbed the yearbook she had found out of her bag and showed it to Jake

Jake laughed as he realized it was just a yearbook.

 "That's just a yearbo-"

Jake quickly stopped once he saw the year that the yearbook was dated to.

"Yeah it's just a yearbook but you seem so scared" Hyewun said as she noticed the look in Jake's eyes

"Why? Is it cursed?" Hyewun teased

"I don't know- I mean hope not" Jake said

"But where'd you get that?" Jake asked

"Found it on the step of the school yesterday after I got my folder from here" Hyewun said

"So why'd you s-show it to me?" Jake asked

Hyewun sighed as she opened the page to where Jake's picture was located and pointed to it.

"Care to explain what you're doing in the 2017 yearbook as a SENIOR?" Hyewun said

"This isn't just a coincidence is it?" Hyewun asked

 'Well I-I" Jake let out

"Ohhh so this is you isn't it" Hyewun asked

"N-no it could just be a coincidence" Jake said

"Oh come on you have got to be an idiot if you think I'll believe that" Hyewun scoffed

"I didn't think you'd find out this soon" Jake said

"Aha! So you are guilty" Hyewun said crossing her arms

"You're guilty of getting held back for four years straight!" Hyewun let out

 "Huh?" Jake asked taken aback

"Uh yeah I mean yeah" Jake said as his face turned red

"Oh come on don't be embarrassed about it" Hyewun said

"Although it must suck that all your friends have already graduated and moved on without you doesn't it?" Hyewun said

 "Haha yeah" Jake said

"They definitely moved on that's for sure" Jake said

"But how is that even possible? Wouldn't your parents get you a tutor after like a year of getting held back?" Hyewun asked

 Jake just shrugged.

"Sorry if I'm asking to many questions" Hyewun said

 "It's ok" Jake said

"It's better than the truth anyways" Jake whispered to himself after

After school: Hyewun walked out as the last bell rung. The school was mostly empty now as students were in a rush to go home. It was just Hyewun and a few others walking out ahead of her. Suddenly Hyewun noticed a piece of newspaper up ahead. Hyewun quickly ran up to it to go and pick it up. When Hyewun approached it, she noticed it was the front page of an article dating all the way back to March 15th, 2017.

Which also happened to be the date today

. Hyewun read the article as she gasped.

 The headline read

"HIGH SCHOOL BOY COMMITS SUICIDE: PEOPLE SUSPECT IT'S BECAUSE HE CAVED UNDER THE PRESSURE OF THE CRUEL EDUCATION SYSTEM".

Hyewun got an even bigger shock when the boy shown in the photo was Jake
