Chapter 12

 "And that girl Sunghoon was with?!?" Sunoo gasped

 "The girl- It's Eunsang!" Jay exclaimed

 "What was I doing with Eunsang? I never remembered even taking to her" Jake said

 "Wait maybe there's audio" Jay said as he tried to raise the volume

 "Crap, it says the audio has been muted" Jay said

 "Well is there a way you can unmute it?" Jungwon asked

 "That's slightly more complicated but since the audio has only been muted and not completely removed I think I can get it back but it might take a few days" Jay said

 "Alright sounds good and thanks for your help Jay" Hyewun said

 "Now we'll get going cya" Sunoo said as they all walked out the door

Jake's POV: 

Jake got out of the shower and to his terror, this time another toe was missing. Jake shrieked loudly which caused Jay to knock on the door. 

"Jake you alright in there?" Jay asked

 "ANOTHER TOE IS MISSING" Jake screamed

 Jay rushed in.

 "No way"

 Jay looked down and this time there were only three toes on Jake's left foot.

 "I'm scared" Jake said

 "What is happening to me" Jake groaned

 "Ok now I seriously think I'm turning back into a ghost" Jake said

 "But you've only been alive for less than a month this isn't fair! You deserve to stay longer" Jay exclaimed

 Jake sighed. 

"It's only right, I've been dead so it's probably better that I go back to being dead plus it's not like all of me is dead yet, I still have some time" Jake said

 "Gosh Jake, you've always been so goody two shoes and followed all the rules, I can't believe you are accepting death so easily" Jay said

 "I've been dead for the past 4 years it wouldn't hurt to be dead again now lets not worry about my toes and just watch the movie as we promised" Jake laughed as he swung his arm over Jay's shoulder

"God you scare me sometimes Jake"

 The two then walked to the living room to settle in for the night.

Sunghoon's POV: 

Sunghoon was still debating whether or not to confront Eunsang about the burnt piece of letter he had found. It was suspicious how he was missing the letter and then it just showed up burnt. He couldn't have done it and the only other person it really could have been was Eunsang since he didn't have friends over very often. 

"Whatcha lookin at?' Eunsang suddenly said as she appeared in the door

 Sunghoon quickly closed his hand into a fist.

 "Oh nothing, but I couldn't find your wallet" Sunghoon said

 "Oh ok it must be in my coat pocket or something" Eunsang said as she walked away

 "You know what screw it" Sunghoon said to himself as he walked to Eunsang to ask her about the letter

 "Hey Eunsang?" Sunghoon asked

 "Yesss" Eunsang replied as she was digging through her coat pockets

 "Uhm I have a question to ask" Sunghoon said

 "Did you happen to burn up the letter Jake sent to me?"

 Eunsang stopped and turned around with her eyebrows slightly raised. 

"Me? How could you think it was me?" She spat out

 Sunghoon slightly jumpe. 

"Geez, sorry you didn't have to get so defensive" Sunghoon said

 "Me? Defensive? How could I not when my own boyfriend is accusing me of burning his dead friend's little goodbye letter that he left before jumping off that damn school rooftop!"

 Sunghoon's eyes widened by the fact that Eunsang had just raised her voice at him for something so small. Sunghoon chewed on his bottom lip before walking off, his footsteps echoing off the wooden floors. Sunghoon grabbed his coat off the coatrack before leaving the apartment and heading off to Jay's house not caring how late it was.

Jake and Jay were sitting on the couch buried in blankets, watching movies when suddenly the door bell rang.

 "Gosh who could it be this late at night?" Jay groaned

 "What if it's an axe murderer?" Jake said

 Jay rolled his eyes before going to door, Jake followed him with his fists ready to throw a punch. Jay opened the door just for it to be Sunghoon standing there, shivering, eyes and nose red and runny. 

"What happened to you?" Jay asked as he grabbed Sunghoon into the house.

Sunghoon could barely form sentences as he tried to tell what happened.

 "E-Eunsang sniff* yelled at sniff* m-me because sniffle* I asked her if she b-burnt sniff* Jake's letter"

"Ugh of course it's Eunsang, she always makes you cry whether she's yelling at you or she's out late again with other guys" Jay sighed

 "It's ok Sunghoonie, here have a drink of water" Jake said as he handed Sunghoon a glass of water

 "Thanks Jake" Sunghoon said

 But he noticed something odd. 

"Jake... where did your toes go?" Sunghoon asked

 Jake's eyes widened.

 "Crap-" Jake said

 "Uhm no my toes aren't missing! I think your eyes are just going bad from all the crying" Jake said

 "Jake, just drop it and tell him the truth" Jay sighed

 So Jake explained the whole story which just left the already heartbroken Sunghoon not only shocked but confused as to why Jake's toes were disappearing.

Eunsang's POV on the phone:

???: Eunsang how the fuck did you mess up? You had one simple job and that was to burn the letter yet you couldn't even do that without Sunghoon finding out

Eunsang: Here you go again blaming anyone but yourself! I was in the middle of cleaning up the mess when suddenly you called me and made me go meet you!

???: Are you blaming me for your recklessness? I'll let it slide next time but if anyone suspects you it's game over for both you and I got that? They'll all find out about our secret and we'll be in trouble

OhHhH Eunsang's working with someone but what for?
