It's been a few weeks and everything has been pretty quiet and going smoothly. Dorinda hasn't left Dre's side since the whole shooting. If he needed something she was right there getting it for him. He was also healing fairly fast.

"Dre baby can you tell me who that was that was here. I know you keep telling me not to worry about it but I want to know." Dorinda said rubbing his arm. They were laying on the pull out couch in the living room. They had been sleeping on that since Dre had a hard time going up and down the stairs.

Dre stayed quiet. He was trying to avoid telling her but he knew she wasn't gonna stop asking until he told her.

"It was my dad. He was the one that shot me." Dre said as he kept looking at the tv. Dorinda stayed quiet and kept rubbing his arm. Maybe it wasn't a good idea for her to keep asking but she got her answer.

Dorinda started to think when her phone started to ring. She grabbed it and answered it. "Hello?"

"Hey ma. You doing okay?" Jay said causing her to smile. She hasn't heard from him since the whole situation with Greg.

"Hey baby. I'm doing good, how you been?"

"I'm doing alright. Nobody been messing with you have they?"

"No honey nobody has messed with me." Dorinda knew she needed Jay to meet Dre but she was afraid of his reaction. "Um Jay what you doing tonight?"

"Nothing really, why wassup momma?"

"I want you to come have dinner with me and one of my close friends."

"Okay I'm down. Just let me know where and what time." Jay spoke.

"Alright baby. Well I gotta go. I'll see you tonight."

"Okay Love you." Jay said and hung up the phone. When she put it down she saw Dre looking at her.

"What?"

"Doe I don't know if I can meet your son. I know how protective he is of you and-"

"Dre it is fine." She said cutting him off. "He will have to get used to you because I'm not going anywhere. I don't want to keep trying to hold this secret. He's the only one that doesn't know about us and I want him to know the man that has been by my side and taking care of me." Dre smiled a little.

"Now I gotta go get stuff to cook so I'll be back. If you need something you better call me." She said getting up and putting her shoes on and her shades.

"Alright I will." He said smacking her ass causing her to look at him.

"You better cut it out." She said and Dre laughed. Dorinda shook her head and kissed him then left out the house.

I was walking around the grocery store looking for the ingredients to make my famous cubed steak. As I  was walking down the isle I wasn't looking where I was going and bumped into somebody else's cart.

"I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." I apologized quickly.

"You good shawty." The boy said causing me to look up.

"I- um-" he laughed at me as I stuttered. I don't know why I was stuttering. I mean yeah he was fine as hell but he didn't compare to Dre.

"What's your name Ma?"

"Um Dorinda." I said.

"That's a pretty ass name it's different. My names Sayvion but everybody calls me Swavy." He said then he licked his lips.

"Nice to meet you." I said.

"So what your fine self doing here all by yourself?"

"I had to come pick up some things to cook." I said as I looked over his tattoos. They were all over his arms and hands. He had three on his face and some on his neck, he probably had plenty more from the looks of it.

"You think I can take you out or sum shawty. I can't let someone as fine as you get away." He said.

I smiled a little but before I spoke my phone started to ring and it was like he was on cue. I answered my phone.

"Yes?" I said.

"Baby can you bring me some ice cream." Dre said and I laughed a little. "Okay you want Cookies and Cream?"

"Yessss. DAMN YALL NIGGAS CHEATING I SAID HOLD ON!" Dre yelled.

"Dre-" He was such a big ass kid at times.

"I'm sorry baby. But that's all I'll see you when you get back. I love you."

"Okay I love you too." I said and hung up the phone. I looked at sayvion and he was looking me up at down.

"I'm sorry about that, But I can't let you take me out I have a boyfriend."

"Damn shawty that's too bad. But aight well hopefully I see you around again." He said and walked away.

"God why do you keep sending these fine ass men to me while I'm at the grocery store." I said to myself. I needed to get out of here before some other young boy walked up to me. I finished my shopping and left and went to the house so she could get for this dinner.
