6. getting bullied on the first day of work

Somehow, Yuu and Grim were able to sleep in the old bedroom in the upstairs part of the dorm. It was a tiring day, so the both of them knocked out as soon as they laid down on the dusty ass mattress....right after it fell through the bed frame and the two of them (cough cough mostly Yuu) spent over an hour fixing it. Also, there was no blanket so Yuu and Grim had no warmth. And the mattress was kind of uncomfortable. Long story short, it wasn't the best of sleeps. Just now, Yuu heard a voice from above. Did they die?

"Hihihi....isn't it the time for you two to clean the academy?"

Nope.

Yuu groaned and opened their eyes. To their surprise, the skinny ghost from yesterday was staring back at them. Behind them, Yuu could see their other companions. They blinked at each other.

"Mmfhhh...five more minutes..." Grim hummed beside Yuu.

"Y'know..." the short ghost snickered as them along with the chubby ghost flew near Grim. "If you stay asleep like that, you might never wake up again!"

"Just like us! Heheheheheh!"

"GYAH!"

Both Yuu and Grim sat up, now fully awake. The skinny ghost continued as if nothing had happened.

"So, are you two gonna be living here from now on?"

Yuu rubbed their eyes, still groggy.

"Yeah...guess that makes us roommates."

"You two are very prank worthy, kekekekeeke!"

"Thanks, I'll be sure to sleep with one eye open tonight."

The ghosts laughed among themselves. Grim was not having it.

"Grrrrr, one day I'll be sure to run you guys out for good!"

Suddenly, Crowley walked in, lively as ever.

"Good morning you two. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, it was lovely. Luxury at it's finest." Yuu sarcastically said. It was meant to be a jab at the poor living conditions, but of course the headmaster didn't pick that up. Grim, on the other hand, was more blunt about his complaints. He had a shit ton to say, so he went o f f.

"When we laid down on the mattress, it fell right through the bed! It really surprised us! We didn't even have a blanket, or pillows! And every time someone would move, the bed would creak very loudly! Just how long have you been neglecting this place? And on top of that, the ghosts woke us up this morning! It was the worst!"

Grim looked at Crowley as if he had just stolen his firstborn.

Ignoring the monster, the headmaster turned to Yuu.

"For someone who was thrown here from another world, you are quite strong. Very good. Well then, now that that's taken care of, I would like to talk about your job for the day."

Crowley led the both of you to the lobby.

"For today's job, you will be cleaning the inside of the academy. However, without magic, it will be very difficult to clean the entirety of the school. So, just clean the Main Street. Start from the main gate and to the library."
