If I got up and left
Made you feel alone
But at rest
Because no matter how much
You mean to me
Or I mean to you
We're nothing but a sudden crack
That lies between two concrete slabs
Another broken thread
Another forgotten friend
Another emotional year
Probably filled with tears
But
It's for the best
If I got up and left
Because despite all the things I'll say
I swear I'll still love you anyway
Even when I get up
And walk away
