You burned our bridge
And I was so focused
On trying to put the ashes
Back in their place
I forgot
I needed to swim
And just ended up
Drowning insteadYou burned our bridge
And I realized
Water lung deep
That even if I had swam
The ash
Would of killed me insteadSo when you burned our bridge
Would you rather me
Drown in bittersweet memories
Or suffocate on what remained
