"Y/N signed the Accords," Tony sighed heavily, "Can't you give her a break?"

"Y/N signed the Accords," Tony sighed heavily, "Can't you give her a break?"

"It's the normal procedure— " Secretary Ross shrugged nonchalantly.

"— which you use on a criminal," he snapped with a glare, before letting out a breath.

Y/N was seated in the middle interrogation room, not having a care in the world about the argument that Tony and Ross were having, and had her legs propped up on the table in front of her.

Y/N was called in for an interrogation by Ross, regarding the whereabouts of Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes and Natasha Romanoff. It was two months since the disagreement on the Accords. Two months since Sam and her called off their relationship. Two months since the Avengers split up.

But it had been only one day since Y/N had contacted Natasha, warning her whenever Ross got too close to her hideout. Y/N had linked DAVID over to Natasha's phone too, in case she wasn't able to pass on information whenever she wasn't.

"Despite her agreement," Ross said, "She's still on the top of our list of dangerous criminals."

"Thank you?" Y/N prompted, snapping her gaze up at them for a moment.

"You're not helping," Tony shot her a disapproving look and turned back to Ross.

Though Y/N hadn't told him, Tony knew her too well. He was aware that she was keeping and eye and covering for Natasha, because he too would do the same if Y/N was in the redhead's place.

"She will always be seen as one who was against the government. A possible threat to the country, " Ross gave her an unimpressed look, "No matter how great a sacrifice she might let play."

"Alright, you can't—"

"Tony, it's okay," Y/N set her legs down on the floor and ran her finger over the chain she was wearing, which had two rings hanging from it. Aida and David Lawson's wedding rings.

"No, it's not," he raised her eyebrows and walked towards her, "You're gonna let them treat you like a criminal when your something way past that?"

"Honestly," she shrugged, "I'm used to it." And it wasn't like she was completely innocent either.

"But you shouldn't be," Tony sat on the table in front of her, "You sure about this?"

"Just a few questions, right?" she stated, "How hard can it be?" she slipped on her glasses and they glowed to show that they were activated.
