Chapter 12

"Should we look for your friend now?" Heikenz asked when Caro hasn't come back after thirty minutes. "It's weird if she hasn't found a restroom nearby."

"I think we should go now," aniko. "'Yong babaitang 'yon pa naman. Mabilis mabudol. Uso ba 'yon dito?"

He shrugged off. "I believe in every country there are people we shouldn't put our trust on, so yeah, I might say that you shouldn't talk to strangers if you don't know them."

"I'm glad you're not a stranger to me," I mumbled.

"Uh, sorry? What did you say?"

I shook my head. "Wala. Tara na. Baka kung saan pa napunta 'yong bruhang iyon, e."

"Or maybe she got long finding her way back to us," Heikenz guessed. "But probably not."

Tumayo kami mula sa pagkasasalampak sa damuhan. We've been enjoying the calm atmosphere and there we just watched people jogging around, sleeping on the grass on their made-up mat, some plays with their kids, and some are couples who couldn't seem not to avoid being so clingy to each other.

Nakabi-bitter, a! Sana all may jowa!

I was just following where Heikenz go. Hindi ko na nga naalala si Caro kanina sa gaan ng pag-uusap naming dalawa. We're just talking about life. General things about life. Kung ano-ano lang, but it was such a great conversation I didn't realize I'm forgetting everything around. He makes everything feel so good. Hindi ko alam kung OA lang ako mag-isip. Siguro dahil I had the idea of getting to know him that's why I got so interested to it.

Sana gano'n lang kadali. But they say, getting to know someone is like I'm digging my own grave. Bakit ko pa nga raw kikilalanin ang isang tao if it's not a permanent thing? Why would I invest such feelings if it's just temporary? And that someone is Caro. Caro would slapped the truth in my face and sometimes I tend to ignore it.

But I guess, it's best to ignore her advice this time. Here in Bangkok, something might change.

"Andrew?" he called my name, I looked at him and he's grinning.

"What?"

He chuckled. "Well, I was just asking if do you have any plan on the day before you left Bangkok? Tomorrow is the last day I'm going to tour you guys."

"I... I actually still don't have a plan about that? Maybe I'll ask Caro what we should do that day. Even though tomorrow is our last day, are you still available to hang out with us the next day?"

"Hmmm..." he hummed, suddenly think about my question. I was really hoping inside that he would just accept it since mukhang wala naman siyang gagawin, but I think I should just drop my hopes up. "Okay, sure! That'll be fine with me. If you still got no plan that day and you might wanna let me plan whatever we're gonna do that day, aright?"

I chuckled, nodding my head. "No problem! Sure fine by me."

"And then kasado na ang araw natin no'n!"

"Yes!" Hagikgik pa nito. "But a question, what have you been thinking earlier? Is that something I should be worried about?"

My eyes widened when he asked that question. Umiling agad ako. "No. That was nothing. 'Wag mo nang isipin 'yon."

I called Caro kung nasaan na siya pero ang gaga hindi sinasagot ang tawag ko. Nagpapanic pa naman ako sa mga ganitong eksena. Though Heikenz tried to look for her sa mga restroom na maaaring puntahan ni Caro but as soon as we get there, wala naman siya ro'n. He then started asking me kung nasaan na nga ba ang kaibigan. He started worrying that she might have lost herself around the park.
