nini puts her phone away after posting her mirror selfie and begins double checking that she has everything she needs for the day. ricky still hadn't told her what they were doing, causing her nerves to increase.
she hadn't expected to be so nervous when she first began thinking about what it would be like to date ricky. in all honesty, she had wanted this for a long time, even if she was afraid to admit it.
with one last deep breath, she opens the door to leave her apartment. before she even has a chance to step into the hallway, she runs into something hard.
"oh my god i'm so sorry," she starts, looking up to see who, or what, she ran into.
she's met with familiar brown eyes, however her stomach drops and her smile slightly falters as she realizes who it is.
"ryan," she says, still startled, "what are you doing here?"
"well hello to you too."
"sorry, i- i just have somewhere to be. nows not really a good time sorry," she says.
"you don't have to apologize neens," she flinches at the nickname she thought was reserved for ricky, "i should've texted first. it's no big deal. want me to walk you downstairs?"
"yeah that'd be great," she smiles and turns to lock her door, then begins to follow ryan to the elevator.
once they make it to the lobby she immediately sees ricky waiting for her outside. he catches her eyes and his smile falters when he sees who she's with. she turns to ryan and gestures towards ricky, ryan nodding in understanding.
she quickly shuffled towards ricky, leaving ryan behind, and pulls him into a hug.
"hey, i was just about to text you," he says, still holding onto her.
"hi," she simply replies, smiling up at him with her arms wrapped around his neck.
ryan catches up to them and nini immediately drops her arms from rickys neck, causing him to give her a confused side glance.
"ryan," ricky nods his head in acknowledgement.
ryan simply waves in reply, before stating that he has to leave.
"bye ryan," nini quietly says as he walks away.
"what was that about?" ricky asks as soon as ryan's out of ear shot.
"nothing, just don't wanna broadcast... this to everyone before i know that it's for sure going somewhere," she replies honestly.
ricky smiles, however it doesn't completely reach his eyes. nini doesn't notice however, too entranced on the sidewalk.
"well," ricky says, breaking the silence, "why don't we get going. i have something fun planned."
"sounds good," nini says, giving him a smile and grabbing his hand.
