Namjoon's wife held your hand the whole ambulance ride to the hospital. You were overwrought with emotion, scared, worried, even angry. A waiter had been coming around the corner of the hallway and saw you right as you fell. He'd called 112, telling you to not move and talking quietly to you. Out of nowhere Kim Sujin had ran down the steps, her security guard in tow, she'd seen you tumble and it had taken them several minutes to fight the crowd to get to you.

"I don't know where security took the boys. Just focus on breathing, we're going to reach Taehyung any minute." She was staring at her phone, fingers furiously typing as the ambulance sped through the streets. You'd dropped your own purse in the scramble, it was still in the club.

"I can't feel her, she's not moving." You choked out the words between sobs. The truth was at only 20 weeks along the baby didn't move consistently. You wished with everything that there was some sort of sign things were alright. Your elbow throbbed and you were pretty sure your ankle was sprained, maybe even broken. Everything just hurt, but you couldn't think about that. You'd accept any damage to your own body as long as your tiny little girl was okay.

"Where the hell are you Namjoon? Where's Taehyung?" Sujin angled her body away from you furiously whispering into her cell phone. You heard everything as the first horrible pain rushed across your stomach. "What do you mean security is taking you to Hybe? Absolutely not, Tae better meet us at the hospital right now!" You've never heard her raise her voice in all the years you'd known her. Her voice faded away as you gasped at the pain radiating into your core, you couldn't concentrate on anything else.

At the hospital nurses rushed you down a hallway, Sujin left behind, still on the phone with her husband. You clutched your bump and soon there was an IV in your arm and things were cloudy, then black.

You woke in a hospital room some time later, Sujin tiredly sitting by your bedside her body guard standing quietly near the door. As much as you were grateful to see her, pain stabbed your heart realizing Tae still wasn't by your side. You went to speak but your throat was so dry you had to swallow several times. You noticed your left arm in a sling.

"Have the doctors said anything about the baby?" The words came out like a croak and you struggled to form them. You choked back tears, throwing back the blanket to look at your bump, still there, no longer shooting daggers through you. You caressed the soft curve.

"They haven't, but they ran lots of tests, they're waiting for results. Someone should be in soon I hope." Sujin smoothed her hand down your uninjured arm.

"Where's Taehyung? What time is it?" Had you been out long or was it only a short time since you'd arrived? She winced at your words and sighed.

"Too many people followed the ambulance here, and the boys' car with security. They're still figuring out how to get him here without causing a scene. It's almost one thirty." You'd remembered arriving at the club around eleven pm, you'd barely been there fifteen minutes when everything happened.

"Can I borrow your phone to call Tae?" You brushed the tears off your cheeks trying to calm yourself before dialing when she placed the phone in your palm.

"Sujin-,"

"It's me Tae."

"Baby, are you okay? I saw you get swept up in the crowd, I tried to get back through the doorway but security was pulling us away and I couldn't get to you, I'm so sorry." Tae rambled and with every word he said the anger was growing in your chest.

"That was two hours ago. Two fucking hours ago Kim Taehyung. Why aren't you here?" Your voice cracked with the last sentence, all that rage spilling over.

"I'm trying but-,"

"Do you think anything could stop me from getting to you if the situation was reversed? What if something happened to our baby? What if she's not okay? And you're just sitting around with your managers worried about a bad press release? I swear to God if you don't get here I will never speak to you again." You hung up the phone and handed it back to Sujin, it immediately started ringing. She looked at you extending it and when you shook your head she answered.

"Y/N doesn't want to talk to you Taehyung, I think she made herself clear. Put Joon on the phone." You turned your head away, pulling the blanket up to your neck while you cried against the pillow listening to her tell her husband in no uncertain terms that if he couldn't get Tae to the hospital he better prepare for his own misery come tomorrow.

Twenty minutes later Taehyung and Namjoon spilled into the room, with another two body guards. Tae was by your side, gently pulling you into his arms, his lips against the side of your head and you hugged him back. As upset with him as you still felt, it was more important to just hold him. Namjoon had hugged his wife, the room quiet except for your shaky cries. You all stayed that way for several minutes until a doctor and two nurses walked in.

"We'll give you some privacy," Namjoon nodded to Tae and walked his wife into the hall, all three security guards following silently. Tae moved to the chair Sujin had occupied, his fingers wrapped in yours as you both gave your attention to the doctor.

"Ms. Y/N, you've got a broken elbow, and ankle, neither looks serious. As for the baby, we're not sure." He opened the folder he was holding and walked over to the light board sliding two photos on and illuminating ultrasound photos. You didn't even remember them taking one, but your eyes took in the tiny spine and head of your baby that you could make out in the picture.

"In the fall your placenta was damaged," he dragged the back of his pen around an area, "what we don't know is if will rupture, or if the baby is losing nutrients and blood flow. Up to this point we've not seen any bleeding."

"What do we do? How do we save her?" Your head was spinning with the information. You wished he would just tell you if your daughter was going to be okay.

"Our only course of action at this point is to leave you on bedrest, a twenty week fetus would not likely survive delivery. The baby would be unable to breathe on it's own, and would be too vulnerable outside of the womb. If you can get to at least twenty four weeks, the baby would have a much better chance of survival if the placenta proves unable to sustain to full term."

"Do you think she can wait four weeks?" Taehyung's voice sounded as confused and distraught as your own.

"We're not sure, like I said, the placenta certainly endured injury, there's no way to tell what that will cause over the next few days. We'll keep you here and monitor carefully, but I want to be honest with you both. There's no intervention we can do to correct the problem. We just have to wait and see."

The doctor sounded resigned, trying his best to not give you false hope, but also trying to give you all of the information he had. He waited for you to ask more questions and when you didn't he said he'd be back in the morning and left.

One of the nurses was checking your IV pole, the other attaching a fetal heartbeat monitor around your uncovered bump. A moment later she flipped a switch on a machine by your bed and the soft thump thump thump thump of your baby's heartbeat echoed across the room. It was the most magical sound you'd ever heard. When the tears came this time they were sloppy and Tae was on the bed, arms holding you against his crisp white shirt going dark with spilled tears.

"I'm so sorry baby, I never should have let them keep us apart." Tae breathed against your hair once you were alone.

"I don't want to talk about that right now Tae, none of that matters. All that matters is our daughter." You wanted to be angry at him, scream how furious you were that he'd left you alone when you needed him, but you told yourself you needed to be calm. Your body needed to be completely at peace to protect your baby, there was no place for rage or stress right now. You could hold her inside you as long as it took to bring her safely into this world.

"Hi baby, it's Appa." Tae leaned down speaking quietly against your tummy, then kissed it softly. He seemed to sense the same thing as you.

He pulled the chair as close to the bed as he could then leaned toward your stomach and started singing softly, one of his hands looped through yours, the other against his daughter. You didn't recognize the song, instead just let the comforting sound of your daughter's heartbeat and the beautiful tone of Taehyung's voice lull you to sleep.
