Maya smiled as she was in the cafe waiting for Lucas so she could tell him about the pregnancy. Knowing it was the weekend and knowing she was 13 weeks it was the perfect time to start telling people about the little nugget while they wait to find out the gender.
"I'm so sorry you had to wait," Lucas said coming into the cafe.
"It's okay. I haven't been waiting long. Rough practice?" Maya asked noticing Lucas was in his practice gear.
"Yeah. Why did you want to see me? And don't say it's because of another amazing call with Riley," Lucas said as Maya smiled.
"Nope. But I did want to tell you that you won't be known as Lucas anymore," Maya said as Lucas shook his head.
"As what then?" Lucas asked.
"As Uncle Huckleberry," Maya said as Lucas looked at Maya shocked.
"You're not. No you're not. You're pregnant," Lucas said as Maya nodded.
"I am," Maya said.
"Maya," Lucas said embracing Maya.
"That's amazing news. How far are you?"
"13 weeks. I'm due 21 July. I just told Riley a few hours ago," Maya said.
"That's amazing, Maya. That's incredible actually. How are..."
"So far so good," Maya said.
"You'll make an amazing mother," Lucas said.
