It was dark. The only thing giving us light was the lamp posts as we walked down the sidewalk.

Stiles brought us here to loosen up and have some fun.

"What?" Stiles asked turning to Scott.

"What, what do you mean, 'what?" Scott looked back at him.

"I mean 'what', and you know what," Stiles answered.

They were both confusing me.

"What" what?" Scott replied.

"Okay! Can we stop with the 'what?" I scolded them.

Stiles looked back at me and grabbed my hand pulling me next to him as he interlocked our fingers.

"That look you were giving," Stiles continued.

"I didn't give a look," Scott claimed.

"Oh, there was a distinct look, Scott," Stiles insisted.

"What look?" Scott questioned his friend.

"The look that says that the last thing you feel like doing right now is going to a party," Stiles explained.

I sighed, "Maybe because the last thing we should be doing right now is going to a party."

"It's not that. It just seems weird going to a different high school's party," Scott corrected.

"What? Would you--god, one drink, all right? You'll be fine," Stiles groaned, "I went to nursery school with this girl, okay? She promised to introduce us to all of her friends. So tonight, no Allison. Tonight, you're moving on."

"He's right Scott, you have to at least try," I smiled at him.

"You're right," Scott sighed.

"That's right I'm right," Stiles exclaimed.

"Moving on," Scott mumbled.

"Onward and upward," Stiles pointed around frantically.

"Let's do this."

"That's what I'm talking about. No-look me," Stiles replied as he let go of my hand.

"Okay," Scott grinned as he did his handshake with Stiles.

We started to walk up the driveway towards a house.

"How's my breath smell?" Scott asked.

"I'm not smelling your breath," Stiles shook his head.

"Do you have any gum?" Scott worried.

"No. No gum. You're fine," Stiles exclaimed.

"I might have some-" I felt around in my jacket when my phone began to ring.

I stopped and pulled it out of my pocket. The boys stopped and turned to look at me.

"You coming?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah, someone's calling me. I'll be right in," I told him.

He walked over to me and gave me a quick kiss before he and Scott walked into the house.

I answered the phone, "Hello?"

"Nova?" I heard Allison ask on the other side of the phone.

"Hey, Alli. What's up?"

"I tried calling Scott but he didn't answer. We need to talk, all of us."

"Uh, okay. Is everything alright?"
