Chapter 16- The Watcher In The Woods Pt1

"So this Serpent dance..." I begin as I look at Sweet Pea in bed
"No your not doing it" he sternly replies
"Why? what is it?" this causes a sigh from Sweet Pea
"It's basically a strip dance girls do. It's a initiation to becoming a Serpent, they do it at the Whyte Wyrm in front of all the Serpents. I don't want anyone seeing you do that dance"
"But what if I want to be a Serpent?" I ask
"Then you can just do the dance in private with me" Sweet Pea cheekily says
"Would that even be classed as an initiation?"
"I don't see why not. Your still doing the dance, I mean FP might ask for there to be another witnesses, so we could ask Toni. I just don't want you to feel violated, but you don't have to do it anytime soon, or at all if you don't want to" my alarm goes off telling me I need to get ready for school
"Ughh" I groan turning off the alarm on my phone. I get out of bed and start getting dressed into the clothes Toni gave me last night
"Will I see you tonight?" Pea ask sitting up in bed watching me
"I have cheer practice after school, then a shift at Pop's and a load of homework I need to do, tomorrow?" I ask now looking at him
"Sure, I'll message you later"
"Ok" I walk over to the bed and lean down to Pea's face and I kiss him
"Do you need a lift?"
"Oh shit yeah" I laugh forgetting I came home on Pea's bike with him last night
"Ok give me a few minutes and I'll take you to school"

"It was full on Carrie. Midge was covered in Moose's blood, screaming like a banshee" Kevin says stood in front of of me, Veronica, Betty and Jughead who are in the student lounge. Kevin is telling us how Midge and Moose had been attacked at lovers lane
"Kev what were you even doing there? you could have been shot too" I turn around to see my brother walking into the lounge
"I was just night jogging, you know as one does and suddenly I hear gun shots" I frown not fully believing his story
"Can we agree now that there's a killer on the loose?"
"With terrible aim" Jughead comments after Archie
"Jughead, he murdered Miss Grundy"
"Arch we don't know if these 3 crimes are related" Betty now says shifting in her chair a little
"Guys can we focus on what matters here? Midge and Moose are alive, Archie and Rory's dad survived. The new season of the matchlerette starts tonight. You're all coming over to watch"
"Nope not me, sorry shift at Pop's after cheer practice" I shrug
"Cheer practice has been cancelled, so just call in sick at Pop's and come over"
"I can't I'm sorry V, I've already said no to doing something with Sweet Pea tonight. Anyway I have homework to catch up on"
"Hang on, there's a shooter terrorising the town. You really want us to watch a gross dating show?" Jughead asks
"What I really want is for you guys to meet my dad officially"
"Ok I'm definitely glad I have a shift at Pop's" I mutter to myself
"Back in New York my dad was always in his study, doing very bad things as it turns out. I'm tired of closed doors. I need to know my dads life and he needs to know mine"
"Well the rest of us will be there V. Can't wait"
"Thank you" Veronica turns her head to face Betty and they smile at each other. Sometimes I think the girls are secretly dating and they are just using Arch and Jug as cover ups
"Boy Andrews, we're going to the hospital to see Moose. You coming?" Reggie says walking into the student lounge
"Yeah for sure. I'll see you tonight Ronnie"
"Why don't you guys stop by at Pop's before you go to Veronica's. I'll make you all a milkshake on the house"
"Thanks Rory" Kevin smiles at me
"I better go to, I was supposed to meet my peer mentor at Southside high like half an hour ago" Jughead gets up
"Say hi to Toni, Fangs and Pea for me"
"I'm not giving him a kiss on the lips if that's what your thinking" Jughead chuckles as he starts to walk off
"Hey Jughead wait, are you.." Betty gets up off the couch and walks over to Jug.

Later on I'm at Pop's serving different tables. The door opens and the Serpents walk in. Toni and Fangs get a table while Pea walks over to me
"Hey, what you doing here?" I ask as he kisses my forehead
"Just wanted to see you, especially in those sexy ass shorts" I lightly push Pea's chest
"Go sit. I'll get the usuals" Sweet Pea walks over to the table just as Veronica, Archie, Betty, Kev and Jug walk in. I go and make everyone's milkshakes, my first stop is the Serpents
"So how was Jugs first day?" I ask looking at Toni
"He wouldn't sit with us. Hopefully the Ghoulies leave him bee" she replies then takes a sip of her milkshake
"I'll talk to him. He just doesn't realise that the Ghoulies are, well the Ghoulies"
"We're going the quarry tomorrow, you wanna join us?" Fangs asks
"Sure, I don't see why not" I shrug
"I'll pick you up from school" Pea says smiling
"Ok see you guy tomorrow" I smile and then deliver the next lot of milkshakes to the others
"You sure you can't come to mine?" Veronica asks
"No sorry. Another time. Also Jughead, be careful around the Ghoulies ok, my advice stick with he Serpents" I turn around before anyone could say anything and I go back to work.
