Chapter 33- Shadow Of A Doubt Pt1

We've been back at school now for a couple days. And things are very strange without Midge. I'm sat with the Serpents in their meeting
War baby called my father and I from Shankshaw. Our old adversaries, the Ghoulies, have been released" Jughead says standing in front of us all. I'm leaning on a desk with Fangs with Sweet Pea stood next to me looking ready to fight "word on the street is they want Serpent blood. They're gunning for a rematch. They want war" the doors open to the room were in
"Which one of you reptiles was screwing Midge Clump?" Reggie walks in with the rest of the bulldogs all angry as hell
"What the hell?" I breath out
"What's going on?" Jughead walks teases the bulldogs looking confused "this is a privet meeting"
"I'm guessing it was you Sweet Pea" Pea moves away from me and places a hand on Jugs shoulder moving him back a little
"Reggie that's enough" Archie tries to stop him
"You ass I didn't even know Midge. Unlike you I wouldn't cheat on Rory, but yeah I get why she wouldn't want fleas from you mangy bulldogs" Reggie goes to to hit Sweet Pea. This causes bulldogs and Serpents to try and hit each other. Toni and I stand back
"Serpents back off now" Jug shouts just as Archie also shouts
"Dark Circle stand down" thankfully this stops the fight
"Look I get you want to find Midges killer I do because I want to as well but whoever Midge was sleeping with I highly doubt killed her. It was the Black Hood, I know it, you know it. The Black Hood is targeting sinners. She is the one who cheated on Moose. Until there's any evidence can we please be civil?" I ask looking around
"Whatever" Reggie scoffs and walks out.

I come home from my shift at Pops later that day and see a note on the door 'your next sinner' I take it into the kitchen
"Dad" I call out to him with tears in my eyes. Dad comes over to me and takes the letter out of my hand
"Damn it" he places it front of him. The door opens and shuts signalling Archie is home
"Dad? Rory?" Archie comes into the kitchen "what are you guys still going up?"
"I errm. I had a shift at Pops. Archie I got home and there was this note on the door" dad holds it up to show Archie
"I can only assume it's our old pal the Black Hood. Dad phones the police while I phone Sweet Pea.
Sheriff Minetta (he's the new sheriff who replaced Keller because apparently he wasn't doing his job trying to find Midges killer) Hiram, Hermione and Veronica are all stood around our table looking at the note while Sweet Pea is holding me from behind
"It's clear what has to be done. We cancel the debate" Hiram says referring to the election debate between dad and Hermione "prank or not it's not a risk we can take"
"What this isn't meant for dad. What if it's for me?" I ask
"Why would you say that?" Veronica asks confused
"I'm a Northsider dating a Serpent and now I'm also a Serpent"
"Then shouldn't Reggie be getting threats for cheating. I think that's a bigger sin" Archie says looking at me "until the Black Hoods been caught we have to be careful" I sigh as Pea places his chin on my head
"Can you beef up security at the town hall?" dad asks Sheriff Minetta
"Fred"
"You can't be serious" Hiram and Archie both frown
"We'll lock town hall down tighter" Sheriff Minetta nods
"The town is scared. They need to be shown we can't be cowed" dad says looking around
"Well if Fred's in, then so am we" Hermione announces. I can't help but feel like this is a bad idea and looking at Archie, he seems to feel the same way. Sweet Pea must have realised how I'm feeling because he pulls me closer to his chest and whispers in my ear
"Serpents will be there to protect you and your dad"

The next day at school I'm at my locker with Sweet Pea, he's leaning against the locker next to me while I put away my books from English
"Guys" both Pea and I turn to the voice of Toni running up to us with Jughead "have you seen Fangs?"
"No, not since History earlier why?"
"There's a video of Fangs that's been leaked. Him and Midge. It makes him look guilty as sin"
"Attention students this is Principal Weatherbee. I need Fangs Fogarty to come to my office immediately" the intercom announces
"Shit" Sweets says under his breath "he's the one that was fucking Midge"
"We have to find him before the dark circle does" the four of us all take off after I shut my locker door. We walk quickly down the hallway looking into each classroom for Fangs. We turn a corner and Fangs bumps into us
"What the hell? this video is everywhere. How did it get out?"
"We don't know but we gotta get you out" Jug says grabbing Fangs by the shirt
"Your dead vixen killer" Reggie yells running down the stairs towards us. Quickly we turn around the run out of the school but we're stopped by Principal Weatherbee and Sheriff Minetta
"Mr Fogarty we need you to come with us"
"I didn't do anything" Fangs calmly says before turning to walk away but Reggie has caught up. Fangs tries to run but is caught and slammed into a locker, I watch as a switch blade falls out of his pocket and Fangs is immediately thrown on to the ground.
