Chapter 20- Tales From The Darkside Pt2

We arrive at school "I'll see you later" I lean over and kiss Pea on the lips before getting out the truck
"See you later baby" Pea calls before I shut the door and watch him leave
"Still with the snake?" I hear Reggie say causing me to roll my eyes as I just walk past him. As I walk into the school I see Jughead and Archie talking. What's Jughead doing here? Is this something todo with that Penny woman. Just as I make my way over to Jug and Archie Cheryl and Josie push me out of the way, they then push their way through Arch and Jug
"Really guys? couldn't have just walked around?" I yell getting to my brother and Jug "Jug what are you doing here?"
"Err can I talk to Archie alone please?"
"Sure" I frown looking extremely confused "is everything ok?"
"Yeah everything's fine Rory"
"Ok whatever you say" I hold my hands up to Jug and start to walk away and make my way to the student lounge when I see Veronica and Betty talking
"Hey guys"
"Hi Rory erm we were kinda having a privet conversation" Veronica says
"Oh erm anything I can help with?" I ask
"Not really, sorry" I nod my head and walk off to my originally plan of the student lounge. I sigh sitting down next to Kevin and Moose
"Everything ok?" Kevin asks "It's just we were..."
"Seriously? why is everyone having secret conversations? is it me? are we all bitching about me?"
"What no of course not, I guess everyone just has their own things to talk about today" Kev shrugs
"Yeah got it. If anyone asks I was sick so I went home" I pick up my bag and fling it over my shoulder and walk out of school ringing Sweet Pea
"Hey baby whats up?"
"I know you just dropped me off but I'm not in the mood for school today. Wanna skip?"
"Sure, I'll be 5 minutes" 
"Thank you"

For the rest of the day I skip school with Pea, Fangs and Toni. We all start off at the Quarry, but end up at Toni's trailer
"Seriously no one will tell you what they are having secret meetings about?" Toni asks handing me a drink
"Yeah, Archie and Jughead, Veronica and Betty, Kevin and Moose, even Cheryl and Josie. I mean seriously I was given more attention by my cheating ex" I rant to them
"Well us 4 have no secrets, we need to talk to one person we talk to all of us" Fangs says taking a sip of his drink
"Thanks guys" my phone starts ringing, dad "oh hey dad"
"I had a call today to say you weren't at school"
"Oh erm yeah I was sick so Sweet Pea came to pick me up because you were at work. He let me stay at his trailer" I hear dad sigh on the other line
"Next time ring me or drop me a text. Now do you know where your brother is?"
"No why?"
"Well he's not answering his phone"
"Oh errm maybe he's at Jughead's? I saw them talking earlier"
"Just try and ring him. If you get hold of him let me know"
"Ok I will do, I'll be home soon" I end the call and look up to my friends and boyfriend
"I guess that's my cue to take you home then"
"Sorry"
"No need to apologise. Come on" Pea pulls me off of the couch and we walk to Fangs' truck so he can take me home.

The next morning  I'm at work early, everyone comes in and sits in their little pairs, everyone in yesterday's clothes. Am I the only one who actually slept last night? The phone starts ringing and Pop answers it. He looks at me with a worried face then puts the phone down. He walks into the middle of his shop
"That was him on the phone. The Black Hood. He says that we failed his test. That we're all sinners. That the reckoning is upon us" I look at Archie who looks just as worried as I feel right now.

After hearing the news that the Black Hood isn't threw with killing sinners everyone has dealt with it differently. Archie doesn't want me seeing Sweet Pea anymore because he thinks that the Black Hood will come after me, have I listened to him? fuck no. Archie and Veronica can't seem to stop touching each other and quite frankly it's gross. Little everywhere I go I seem to see them either half naked or making out, like yesterday...

I walk into the student lounge and see my brother and V making out
"Ew ew ew, I think I just threw up a little"
"Ughh seriously Rory?" Archie finally breaks the make out session and looks at me
"God I can't keep seeing you both in your underwear or making out" they both chuckle and start making out again

Today though was a little different, neither Archie or Veronica were at the house meaning they may have finally listened to me and stoped doing the dirty here all the time, I'm actually scared to sit anywhere in the house now.
Betty had called me to meet her in the Blue and Gold room. I walk in to see Betty, Archie, Veronica and Jughead
"What's going on here?" I ask looking at Archie
"Dunno, they wanted to wait for you"
"Well I asked to meet me in here because..." Betty turns to Jughead smiling
"My dad is getting out of jail"
"Jug that's great"
"Yeah"
"Wow guys don't strain yourself from excitement and happiness for our best friend" I roll my eyes and walk over to Jughead "I'm so happy for you and your dad, this is amazing news. When does he get out?"
"Wait hang on. What heralded this miracle?" V asks
"Uh overcrowding at the jail. I guess the judge reviewed my dads case and after Cheryl's testimony it was a perfect storm" I frown a little not fully believing Jug, could this be anything to with the other night when everyone had gone off in pairs?
"What do you need from us Jug?"
"Maybe to stop banging each other for 2 minutes" I mumble more to myself
"Both of us, we have a new lead on the Black Hood case"
"No Betty, I'm not getting involved" I hold my hands up
"That's fine. Veronica, Archie would you mind looking into it for us. We can give you all of the details, the articles"
"It's just I have to be there for my dad, to help him with his re-entry so..."
"Uh yeah and I'm just taking a break from the Black Hood"
"Wait do you want us to be you guys?" Veronica looks confused
"Essentially yes"
"Well good luck everyone have fun trying to find out who the Black Hood is. While your doing that I'm going to go to the Wyrm tonight with Pea. Bye" I call out and wave at them leaving the room.
