i put addi back down and watch her toddle off into jack's living room. i message phil.
*the messages*
me: you won't believe it
phil 💓: what?
me: addi's walking
phil 💓: our clever girl
phil 💓: are you coming soon?
me: will do now
phil 💓: safe journey, love you x
me: love you x
*end of messages*
"right i've got to get going." i say
"we'll start driving in half an hour or so." jack says
"okay see you later." i say, "be safe with the babies."
"they'll be fine." he says
"bye." i say opening the door and shutting it behind me
i get back in my car and start driving off, towards the wedding venue. me and phil had been there at least once a day since we had chosen we wanted to get married there, so i knew the way pretty well.
i put the radio on and listen.
"foden announces marriage to jack grealish's younger sister, y/n." bbc two says
"foden huh." i say to myself, "hey siri, call phil." i say turning the radio off
"hye darlin what's up?" he asks
"don't darlin me, what have you told the radio? i thought we said we were keeping it on the down low till after the honeymoon." i say
"it's nothing, they just asked and i thought you wouldn't mind." he says
"i do mind, i don't want everyone knowing everything that's going on in our lives." i say
"i'm sorry, won't happen again." he says, "can we just forget about this."
"promise if i tell you to not tell something you won't." i say
"i promise." he says
"okay fine." i say
"i'll see you in a bit." phil says hanging up
i was alright with it once i thought for a while, why wouldn't i want the world knowing i was marrying him? i was just scared about my privacy, and the triplets. when i was younger mum always used to tell me and jack every single day about social media and how she doesn't want us to have it for a long while.
i pull over in a service station and sit in the car park, i go on instagram and search up my name and phils together, loads of fanpages come up. i take a look through them.
