Blossom's POV
Tea had been going swimmingly, until... Toby burst through the doors "Toby what are yo-" "Mate" he said darkly, cutting Sophie off Oh my... Mate? "Toby just slow down" I heard Sin say, before he appeared in the doorway.
"Mate" he growled, storming towards the table I looked around, everyone else seemed as shocked as me... everyone apart from... Maisie. She just sat there... staring at him Until he engulfed her in his arms, her own winding round his neck.
"What's happening?" Sophie asked "Uh... I think Toby may have found his mate" I said simply... I mean it was kind of obvious "Mm... mine" Maisie said, holding him tighter "Lord give me strength" Sophie said, putting a hand to her head.
"What?" Toby snapped "Nothing dear I just didn't need this today on top of everything else" she said "Everything else?" Sin questioned "Yes. I'm still mad at you. I'm trying to sort out Blossy's council and now Toby's took one as a mate" she sighed.
"Mine" Toby snapped "Of course she's yours, but you have to calm down Toby" I said He looked at her, before he completely swept her off her feet and strode out of the room.
Leaving us all in silence and shock. "Right. Please um... have some more tea, we'll sort this in due course and get back to you all" Sophie smiled, before she gave me and Sin a look and walked out too, both of us following her.
"You okay?" Sin whispered, slipping his hand into mine I nodded, giving him a reassuring smile. I was happy for Toby. Sure he was still 17, but finding your mate was... absolute heaven.
And I know he'd been ready for her for ages now. He loved the idea of having someone Someone to love him. I think he often felt left out, being the youngest, being the one that the family kept things from in an attempt to 'protect him' He deserved this. He deserved to be happy.
"Alexander" Sophie called out, opening his office door "Yes my love?" He asked, sat behind his desk "Toby has found his mate" she said simply, walking round the desk and perching herself on the edge of it beside him.
"That's wonderful, who is she?" He asked, a smile coming onto his face "Maisie Hughes, from Alpha Patrick's pack" she said solemnly "Is that a bad thing?" I asked.
Alexander sighed "Well, he doesn't like to give his pack members away so easily, we already cut a deal if she was chosen to be a lady in waiting. Now she's Toby's mate, a future princess, he'll want a better transfer deal" he said.
"Offer him whatever he wants, Toby's not going to give up his mate" Sin said, his hand resting on my shoulder as I sat opposite Alexander and he stood protectively behind my chair.
