Not Everyone Is Blessed With Long Legs

Carly's POV
I was suprised to see Liz here, she was wearing

Something that I wouldn't expect her to wear, she looks so much like a model

The whole class went quiet as all of us look at her reach the teachers table, she put down her bag and remove her sunglasses
"Good Day class" she greeted us in a cheery voice

The class was silent, none of them greeted her. I can sense that they are judging her

"who is she?"

"a substitute?"

"she doesn't look like a teacher"

I can hear many whispers of students, she cleared her throat to catch all of our attention
"My name is Elizabeth, you guys can call me Liz and I will be your substitute teacher since Mr. Callister is sadly in a coma" she told us

"WHAT!?" all of us shouted so loudly that Liz has to cover her ears, Leo looked at me with a suprised face

He leaned in and said "Mr.Callister is one of the most careful teachers that I know, how the heck did he got himself into a coma?"

I shrug at him as my response, I will be honest here I don't really care much about teachers but we are so used to them having so much energy to scold and teach us that this is something new

Liz taught us Math and I must say that she is really good at teaching, she didn't left out any important detail

••••bell rang••••

We heard the bell and all of us started to prepare for the next class, Me and Leo went to the campus to see our Fall themed design

As soon as we both came out, I was greeted by a breautiful art on the wall

I was mesmerized by how amazing it looked "wow"
"wow indeed" I heard a woman's voice, My eyes went to a woman who is sitting at a bench next to us. She raised up her sunglasses

"Liz!" I said excitedly and I sat next to her, Leo was confused as ge was just standing beside the bench

"you must be her date" Loz said to Leo which made him more confused

Leo's POV
I raised a brow at Carly
"she gave me the outfit idea on our first date" she said with a grin, I smiled because on how she can finally make friends that is not in our age circle

I feel like there is something off, like I can't get this weird feeling. You know that something bad is going to happen and it is? Yeah I felt that

I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I look to see that it was Hunter, he pulled me away from Liz and Carly until we are far enough that they can't hear us

Liz and Carly hasn't noticed that I was far from them because they both keep chatting
"listen to me" Hunter said to me in a vary serious tone

"keep both of them separated" he pointed to both of the girls
"why?" I asked him and he sighed

"I can't explain it because it is not the right time but you still have to listen to me" he said then walked away, "how can you make such a sentence that can make me want to know more you dumbass" I said in my head

Neverthless I still did follow what Hunter said because Liz is giving creepy vibes that is even more creepier than Carly back before we met

Carly's POV
As I was talking to Liz I feel both warm hands were on my shoulders and it was massaging it, I look up at Leo
"what is it?" I asked him, he leaned a little to me

"don't we have class?" He told me and I easily forgotten about our next class because I got carried away from talking with Liz, the bell will ring in 6 minutes and our next class is two buildings away

I stood up quickly and I grabbed Leo by the hand
"Bye Liz!" I said to her and she waved at me while giving me the sweetest smile, I pulled Leo's hand and we both ran as fast as we could
"Oh sh*t" I said to myself as I see that there is only 2 minutes left and we are not even halfway to reach the building our next class was in

Leo stopped and he knelt right in front of me
"you do know we are going to be late right?" I said to him and he nodded
"get on" he said and I rode on his back, he stood up and ran at a very fast pace than we did before. Leo gave me a piggyback ride

"your legs are super short that it might take forever to reach it" he said to me out loud while running, I feel insulted

"excuse me but not everyone is blessed with long legs alright!!?" I yelled in his ear, everyone kept giving us funny and curious looks as we passed by a lot of them

I don't care because they don't have a person that can give them a piggyback ride, I saw a person who is giving out flyers and we are going to run pass that person

I caught the flyer that the person gave me and I read on the paper
"hey Leo it looks like becoming prom king will be even more of a challenge this year" I told him by the ear

He finally arrived at our History lecture and we met up with Natasha and Kevin, we chose a seat that we can all be close to one another

Leo was still panting on his seat and I brought out my water bottle and gave it to him
"thanks love" he said to me

Natasha was reading the flyer I gave her
"oh damn becoming prom King and Queen ain't a walk in a park this year" she said and gave the flyer to Merlin

Merlin read the flyer out loud for all of us
"This Year we challenge you in BATTLE FOR THE CROWN, a huge game for those who desired the title King and Queen. Sign up for more detail!" he said

"this sounds like it was made for you guys" Merlin added and he was referring to both Me and Leo

BATTLE FOR THE CROWN? Sounds like an elimination death game to me but it sounds fun
