Leo's POV
I tried to calm down Ross who just punched the wall
"This.."

"Ross calm down, punching the wall won't fix this problem" I put a hand behind his back, he avoided my hand and glared at me

"What do you think am I supposed to act!?" His voice was too loud that it was now mistaken as a yell

"Do You think you are the only one who is worried!?"

I sat on the bench and covered my face with both of my hands as my elbows were on my knees, protecting is hard if you care about a lot of people. I can't keep up but I have to

I rubbed my forehead slightly by the palm of my hand as I raise my head to look at Stacy in front of me who has now calmed down and Brittney is asleep on Hunter's lap

"Hunter" I called out to him, he heard it but he didn't bother looking at me because he was playing with Brittney's hair and sometimes patting her head. I was irritated, we could have avoided this situation early if he have at least given us at least some information

I slowly stood up from my seat and I feel like I have lost control of my body at what I did next, my hand-formed into a fist and I clenched it tightly. Every noise in the ER is now silent to my ear because I was now focused on Hunter

He didn't give a sh*t to look up at me even though I am now standing in front of him, biting my bottom lip from frustration and anger. I was supposed to aim my fist at his face and he looks like he knows he is going to get punched

I glance at Carly that is now asleep after the nurse finished extracting blood from her, my hand went down in defeat. I aggressively grabbed the collar of Hunter's coat and his eyes are now looking at me

"If you feel guilty enough maybe you should now tell us all of the information you have or else I won't hold back beating the ever f*cking sh*t out of you Hunter Antonio" I threatened through gritted teeth and pushed him as I let go of his collar

He was so deep in thoughts that I doubt he heard my threat, I felt a small warm hand was put on my shoulder
"Natasha?"

Her eyes were watering and her face was full of sweat like a bucket full of water was dumped on her and she decided to go on a marathon after, that is how drenched in sweat she is

Merlin was standing behind Natasha trying to process everything that is happening in the ER especially the news about Kevin, his face has visible confusion written all over. I glanced back at Hunter

If we weren't in a hospital or that If I am still the reckless me back then I might have punched his face multiple times and I still wouldn't be satisfied but Carly is here and I promised my sister I will come to fetch her tomorrow, Merlin was talking to Ross who's forehead was on the wall looking down at his feet

I wasn't gonna leave just like that though so before I left I slapped Hunter's forehead which made Stacy and Tasha snort with Stacy covering her laugh with the back of her hand and as for Natasha she looked away with a huge smile containing her laughter

Hunter's forehead was red and it made me try to stifle my laughter with my serious face, I walked away immediately before he could see it. Carly was sound asleep on the chair and I asked a nurse that passed by if there is a bed where I can put her on

We were taken to an empty ward and I lie Carly down gently on the bed, I closed the curtain to give her privacy because hospitals tend to have people come in and out of the ward with random visitors. The yellow pastel curtains were very soothing to look at and they gave a sense of warmth and comfort

Stacy opened the curtain a bit for her to get in
"She will be hungry when she wakes up"

I looked at Carly's face that her mouth was slightly opened, I will never understand how on earth did I manage to fall in love with her is astounding. I went out of the ward to buy her food at the canteen

Carly's POV
I can feel someone shaking me, I open my drowsy eyes to see Stacy's puffy eyes that she got because she cried a lot

"You look ugly" I stated and she rolled her eyes
"You're not a pretty sleeper yourself"

I felt the sheet of the bed that my body lays on and I saw the yellow curtains that gave me privacy, I can hear the muffled noise of many people, nurses, and doctors outside the door. My eyes searched for Leo, I sat up quickly and I try to get off the bed but I got dizzy

"He is buying you food" Stacy forced me to lie down but I try to resist but my body and dizzy head says otherwise, I gave up and my head hit the soft pillow

She put a thin blanket over me and patted my arm trying too hard to make me sleep, she is acting like a mom again

She rested her head at my side, I can see the hurt and pain in her eyes. She hated Kevin but at the same time she still loves him and seeing him in this state where he is almost losing blood was scary for her to witness
"I can't lose him, I don't want to" she mumbled

"I thought you said 'I don't want to think about him anymore'" I mocked her voice from the way she said it to me last time, I got pinched a bit at the cheek

"Stop it, you know well how much I don't follow through to what I say" she groaned and buried her face on my belly, I put my fingers through her hair and played with it

I felt heels clacking at the floor tile and the sound seems to be getting louder, I saw a shadow behind my curtain with a figure of a woman. I looked down to see that she was wearing

She wore dark red velvet pointed shoes with a bow at the back that has a small gem in the middle when she left as soon as I heard another distant footstep

Leo opened the curtains, his sullen look now changes when he saw me. His eyes shine again with his lips formed into a smirk
"I brought food"

He lifted a paper bag with food that its heavenly scent hit my nostrils, my mouth started watering and I carefully sat up as I put Stacy's sleepy head to my lap. My hand tried to reach the paper bag but Leo pulled away first
"Where's my kiss?" He whispered close to my face

I kissed his cheek quickly but he wasn't satisfied with it, he shook his head and pointed to his lips. I pouted and gave him the puppy eyes but he wouldn't budge
"Fine" I muttered

I checked first if Stacy was awake, her eyes are closed but I still covered them with my one hand and with my free hand I grab Leo behind his neck and pulled him down to kiss him

My hand slowly went to his jaw and I used my thumb to caress it
"Are you guys finished yet?"

I was startled by Stacy's loud question that I pulled away from the kiss, I lifted my hand to see her eyes are fully wide awake. She gave me a smug grin as she laughed a little

I covered her eyes again because she doesn't look like she will remove them anyway, covering my face with my other hand from embarrassment. I can feel Leo's warm lips kiss the corner of my mouth

A few minutes later I still haven't removed my hand from my face, I can smell the strong aroma of the food

Could it be...
"Fried chicken?" I asked as I moved my hand a little to take a peek, Leo was leaning at the bedside table using his arm and was waiting for me

"Peek a boo" he joked through his smile, he gaze at me with so much admiration that I fell in love with him all over again
