Why Am I Here Again?

Carly's POV
Me and Leo were now near to the door but we suddenly remembered that Kathrina is in the house and she might be in danger if there is no one old enough to watch over
"I'll stay," I said to Leo

He turned around
"Yeah, I will call you later" he leaned in to kiss my cheek before he went in his car and drive off

I dialled Stacy's number again, I may not help within the physical search for Kevin but maybe I can find some clues to where he is if I ask Stacy. She answered my call quickly
"Carly!! Do you have any news!?" Her curdling was frantic and out of breath

"Stacy calm down, Leo just went out to find him" I informed her and she gave out a sigh of relief on her phone, I was walking around in circles in the living room and my hands are sweating a bit

"Kathrina must be playing with Bruce and her dolls" I said in my head as I wok up the stairs to take a peek in her bedroom, I opened the door slightly and I see that she is talking to Bruce and her stuffed Monkey about some theory of alien invasions

I was still on the phone with Stacy and I heard her falling down
"STACY!" I said loudly which startled Kathrina
"Sorry sweetie" I mouthed to her and she gave me a small thumbs up

"Sorry I was so occupied on where Kevin could be I tripped because of a dog, sorry baby" she said to the dog before running again because I can hear some wind noise in my phone

I sat at the kiddie chair around the small table that is used to play pretend tea parties, Bruce had almost eaten a small plastic toy doughnut so I carried him on my lap

I borrowed the small laptop of Kathrina and called Leo
"Any clue to where he might be?" Leo asked me and Stacy answered
"I don't know dude, he might be at some bar because he used to slip in to drink" Stacy said loudly from my phone so the mic of Kathrina's laptop could be reached and Leo could hear her

I left my phone near to the laptop and left it on full volume
"Pretty Lady, can you braid my hair like this?" She showed me a picture of a little girl with 2 braids that is turned into 2 space buns

As I brush her hair I said out loud
"Maybe he is hiding at his distant relative's house"

"Kevin did that once and he got kicked out because he stayed too long" Leo answered and I can hear the car engine

"How long?" Me and Stacy both said it at the same time

"About a month I think" he told us
I put Bruce down and carried Kathrina to sit on my lap

"How about at Stacy's bar?" I asked, I did the first braid of Kathrina's hair

"I checked the bar but he is not there and I asked my Dad's other bat branch and he is neither in any of them" Stacy was huffing and puffing

"Stacy you need to catch your breath, if not you might faint on a random sidewalk and have the locals think you're dead" Leo told Stacy, I heard the car engine at Leo's call stopped

"We need more heads to find him" I did to myself, I finished styling Kathrina's hair and tickled her sides for a bit
"Can I borrow your Ipad?" I pointed to her Ipad that was lying flat on her princess bed, she nodded her head quickly and gave me the Ipad

I signed in to my account on FB and called the group chat
"What do you need?" Tasha sounded tired
"I think I saw God for a bit thanks for waking me up" Merlin groaned

"Wait are you sleeping?" Brittney's voice sounded hyper and chirpy

"No Brittney, maybe it might be my time to go and meet my creator" Merlin replied to her sarcastically
"Go to hell Merlin" Brittney told him

"Why am I here again?" Hunter's voice popped in the conversation making both Merlin and Brittney's sarcastic fight stop
"Kevin is missing" Stacy said loudly

"What the f*ck is the matter with that clown?" Tasha sounded annoyed
"I'm sorry if I disturbed you Tasha" I apologized

I thanked my quick reaction time to cover Kathrina's ears
"Oh the innocence of a child could be easily be taken" I groaned in my head

"Nah no problem Carly, I think this must happen a lot judging from how ya'll are acting right now" I can hear her blender, she must be in the kitchen

"Yeah, Kevin really has a habit of running away from home" Leo chuckled a bit
"I know that but not with a potential psycho killer that might be alive and on the loose situation" Hunter told us

"I'm going to track his phone" Merlin spoke up
"I haven't called Ross yet, maybe he is going to crash at his place tonight" I suggested

"I don't think so Carly" I heard Ross' voice at Leo's call
"Ross is with you right now Honey?" K asked Leo as I try to look at Kevin's social media page if he has updated anything because he is the only guy in our group who is active on social media apart from Brittney, Stacy, and Natasha

"Yeah I picked him up from his home the moment he got a call from Stacy about Ross missing" Leo added

"Guys I think I found his location" Merlin said loudly, We turned the call into a video chat so Merlin can show us
"Sh*t he is near to a forest at this hour?!" Ross yelled at Leo's call in the car, Ross was at the passenger seat

"I'm just a walking distance to the forest, I'll try and check" Hunter volunteered to go out and check
"I'm also near to the forest I'll meet up with you" Brittney stood up from her seat from the video chat

"We will go with you two" Leo told us, his eyes were fixated on the road but the expression on his face is filled with worry

Leo's POV
We were still on a video chat with Carly, I parked the car at the edge of the forest and Ross pulled out two flashlights at the trunk. We saw Brittney in a huge wool sweater she hugged tightly to herself and Hunter who is in a beanie hat and a coat

"Brittney, Ross you two keep continuing the video chat" I ordered the both of them
"I will record the chat if anything happens, be careful out there" I heard Carly's soft voice and my nervousness lessened a bit

Ross gave an extra pair of flashlights to Hunter and Brittney before we set off to search all the edges of the forest
"It says here, that you guys are near to Kevin at some river" Merlin informed us

"I think I'm near to that area, I'm just a few feet away from it. I'll go there right now" Stacy yelled in the call, we continued walking going to the Riverside near the edge of the forest when suddenly we heard a blood-curdling scream

"WHAT IS IT!?" Tasha, Carly and Merlin yelled on the call, Stacy wasn't answering but was still screaming, we ran as fast as we could to reach the river

Brittney was ahead of us holding her phone in front of her, she fell backwards at the sight. I was in shock at what I saw but I acted fast along with Ross and Hunter

"BRITTNEY WHAT IS HAPPENING?! I NEED TO KNOW, STACY WON'T TALK!" Carly yelled on the phone, Brittney was shaking in fear and because of her PTSD that she acquired from that night at her home

I took Brittney's phone and turned off the camera so it was now only a call, I gestured Ross to turn off his camera too. I look at Stacy, Hunter and Ross helping Kevin

The grass now has a puddle full of Kevin's blood, he has a stab wound to the stomach and Hunter was trying to keep him awake

Stacy was calling an ambulance with tears streaming down her face
"Kevin has been stabbed" I told them
