I'll Carry It

Leo's POV
Today was supposed to be the day where me and Carly are supposed to join the BATTLE FOR THE CROWN

But my girlfriend's health comes first, the thought of Carly pushing herself out of the hospital bed just to join with me for the game just makes me want to carry her back to the hospital and lecture her about her health first

I am cooking at home right now because I promised her that I am going to bring her my speciality food as she requested, Kathrina was busy playing dress-up with Bruce in the backyard

I put all the food I just finished in a lunchbox and put it in a paper bag, before I left I asked Kathrina if she wanted to join me to visit Carly at the hospital
"Of course I do, I'm gonna bring Bruce to brighten up her mood"

She held Bruce excitedly
"Kathrina I don't think ducks are allowed in the hospital"

Her face had disappointment written all over as she put Bruce down on the grass
"He will be our watch duck since he will attack any stranger to comes to the house" I assured her

I just realised that when the house was broken in, Bruce kept quacking loudly around the house which alerted the neighbours to call us and the police quickly

We got into the car and I put the paper bag on Kathrina's lap for her to hold as I drive, when we finally parked at the parking lot Kathrina excitedly jumped out of the car
"Careful, her food is in that paper bag" I told her and we walked together to Carly's ward

Kathrina attracted a lot of people with her adorable looks, she is a Xavier after all. Many old people gave her some candy and pinch her cheeks mostly the grandmas that were gathered around a rectangular table playing cards

By the time we reached the door her arms are already filled with candy and was having a hard time carrying the paper bag, I chuckled and shaped my head slightly
"I'll carry it" I offered to help Kathrina but she didn't want my help

My hand reached the sliding door and I let her in first, her small legs marching in like a soldier and me hearing Carly happily call my little sister's name "Kathrina!"

I closed the door after I stepped in and Kathrina gave Carly the paper bag and a candy that she got, her height was really small so she struggled hard to reach on top of the hospital bed with her legs dangling in the air as she grabbed the sheets

I helped her get on the bed and she instantly hugged Carly "Are you alright?" Her big eyes looked up at her

"Yes since you're here with your brother and you guys brought food" she gave us a cheeky smile, I covered Kathrina's eyes quickly so I could lean in and kiss Carly as a hello

"I brought my speciality food as you requested" I sat at the foot of the bed and watched Carly open the paper bag with her eyes wide open as soon as she opened the lunch box, I could see her expression and it seemed to me that her mouth watered at the sight

"Thank you Honey and thank you for the candy Kath" she gladly said to the both of us, she took her first bite and she stabbed her fork to give me a bite of the food I made

It tastes ok to me
"It's too delicious" she ate another bite

We heard a knock on the door and Typer came in with Jasper, Kathrina waved when she saw Jasper. Carly's brother excitedly carried Kathrina
"Hey shortie!"

"Excuse you but I am still growing" she crossed her arms at him after she puts candy on his hand, she also gave one to Typer as he sat beside Carly on the bed

My mom went into the room too and she kissed Carly at the temple "Hey Dear"

"Mom and Carly got closer" I said in my head, Carly talked to Mom and I was distracted by her gleaming face that I haven't seen much in a while

My phone rang and I excused myself to walk out of the room to answer the call, it was Merlin

"I forgot to tell you about Bunter's result since it just so happen that when we reached to you, Carly had a hard time breathing" he sighed and I can hear the background noise that he was in school foundation day

"So what happens to the result?" I leaned on the wall beside the entrance door of Carly's ward

"His blood is not normal, that's for sure, but it doesn't contain quick healing like Carly"

"What does his blood contain?"

"It only contained a foreign body that is all, nothing changed to his physical features like her Blue hair"

"Is that all?" I asked to hope to reel in more information about this foreign body that was present in their blood, the moment I realised that Liz was involved in this. Before I met Carly at the school entrance yesterday I went to the back entrance and searched for Liz in the school and I kept asking some of the teachers where could she be but she instantly left the school after a day

Many of the teachers in the faculty were left puzzled because she was supposed to be a substitute until Mr. Callister comes back but she left quickly one day after she substituted

"Thanks dude"
I can hear him clear his throat like my appreciation is a first for him, me thanking anybody is like a once in a Blue Moon

One of my feet tapped on the floor as I was deep in thought, the loud noises in the hospital has now been silenced by my own head. Many people went on in their lives and I am just living mine as normally as I could

I stepped back into the ward to find Tyler talking to Mom, Jasper playing with Kathrina and Carly almost finishing the food in the lunchbox. My hand reached for the empty lunchbox and put it back in the paper bag

Carly burped a little "excuse me" she hurriedly said after and a soft chuckle escaped from my mouth
