Cold Sweat

Carly's POV
Me and Leo enjoyed our time on the first day, for the finale of the first day are that there are students who are going to dance on the main campus. I pulled Leo into the best spot in the library window view the main campus that was hidden behind the bookshelves

"Where did you find this place love?" He asked me as he sat beside me at the wi down waiting for their performance to start

"When you are the creep of the school, people tend to avoid you and you avoid them, so I sometimes find a hiding place that no one knows and think it's cool to hide in one of them" I shrugged at him

We heard the marching band's loud music starting to play, after their performance we can hear loud music coming out of 5 large speakers and Natasha went to the middle and started dancing

2 more girls followed her to dance until the middle then a large group of people followed her moves like a leader, "damn" I let out in amazement

Leo was recording the performance on his camera, there was an unexpected performance that was made by the football team after Natasha's group dance performance and the crowd loved it

Merlin pulled Natasha so his group followed him and pull the other dance members so the football team and the dance group are now dancing together, it was a sight I would never get to see from Merlin

"Too bad Kevin couldn't see this" I said and Leo nodded

"Who the hell did I can't come?" I'd a loud reply from behind our backs, I turned around to see Kevin in a wheelchair with Stacy who was in charge pushing him around. Stacy gave me a sheepish grin and I ran to hug the both of them

"You guys made it! But wait your recovery" I pointed to Kevin who was now munching on some caramel popcorn

He finished the last popcorn that was at the bottom of the paper bag "Unexpectedly I was able to heal faster with your blood and I have a family member who works in the hospital that gave me permission to go out today"

Stacy handed him a water bottle voluntarily and he thanked her as he took the bottle from her hands, their relationship seems to be going okay. I feel bad I didn't do much but thankfully things around them are going well

We heard a scream from a female student who was just overreacting because some paint fell on her, she screams though made me remember a hidden memory that I didn't know I have

A woman was screaming as she is being chased by a guy along the halls, I was hiding behind a large curtain that was covering my frail body. The woman was dressed up like she was going out to party and the guy who was beating her was wearing a lab coat

The woman cried for help as she was being beaten by the guy but I didn't come out to help, a part of me was so afraid to go out to them because my legs are shaking, my breathing is getting irregular, and my face is now full of sweat which I guess that I was just hiding from running

"Elijah it wasn't my fault she escaped from her room!" She said loudly as she try to beg him to stop kicking her, the guy who was the abuser is Elijah

I just need to see his face but sadly this is only a memory and I was only hiding the entire time behind the curtains, I hugged myself to give myself comfort as I heard the guy stop hitting her and they went to their way in the palace as if nothing happened

I heard a heel-clicking sound that was getting louder and louder, my heart was beating so fast it was hurting my chest. When the curtain was taken away from me at my hiding spot I was met with a familiar face

It was Mom in her younger years who was looking at me filled with worry, she was wearing a maid outfit that looks conservative and her hair was tied in a low bun. She pulled me into a hug and my eyes welled up in tears as I silently weep at her chest

There was a male voice that I heard from behind Mom "finally you found her, let's go", it was Dad who was wearing a suit and bow tie. Dad hurriedly carried me in his arms and both of them are now running down the hallways

"Did you get the keys?" Mom asked Dad as she was holding a wrench in her hand, a guard who looks mean came out and saw me

"What is she doing outside her room BROOKE?!" he asked angrily at Mom, she didn't hesitate to hit the wrench at his nape and we made a run for it

At the corner of my eyes, I saw two huge wooden oak doors. There was a happy feeling inside of me that I felt like I spent a lot of time at that door but I couldn't get out

I felt someone cupping my cheeks trying to shake me gently back to reality, my eyes went to Leo who was on the verge of crying because of worry. I take a look at my surroundings to find all of my friends are here in the same spot in the library

"You were getting cold sweat and was breathing hard but no matter how much we try to call you, you wouldn't respond" Hunter said as he walked up to me and slowly attend my back

"Hunter, guys, I've just got another new memory when I was little. Elijah was not as nice as he portrays himself to Anna as he seems to be, he was abusing a woman" I struggled to say that as my chest was so felt like someone was squeezing them too hard, it was too tight

Leo carried me on his arms bridal style and they hurriedly took me to the clinic
