"Angie!" I shout as she walks through the front door. I get up from the couch and hug her "hey everyone" she wave at them. "Hey Ang" they say and we go back to sit next to each other. "I'm ready to beat everyone's ass" she smiles and Brandon gets the games out "we gotta wait for Payton" Edwin tell us "yeah we'll just get them out and wait to play"
Brandon and Nick put a couple games on the floor as we wait for Payton. "You sure she's coming right?" Austin ask "yes she told me she was" he says just like every other time. Payton is late to everything or she says she'll come and never shows. She lies ...... a lot. "I'll go call her"
Edwin steps out and into the dining room to call "really think she's showing up" Nick ask and I shrug "either way she's late" I say "This happens a lot" Zion says "yeah" Angelina nods "some people just are always late" Austin says "but she lies a lot" Brandon says "I don't know" Austin says
Edwin walks back in "she's pulling up now" he sits down next to Brandon and a couple seconds later the door opens "sorry I'm late" Payton walks in and walks over to Edwin. "It's okay" Edwin says and she sits next to him Before they share a kiss.
"Now let's get started"
(2 hours later)
"And I win again" Zion says "cheater" I say "you're just mad" he shrugs "you got lucky" Angelina says "3 times in a row?" He questions "don't be salty" he sits back down "let's play uno" Angie grabs the deck of cards "aww see this is where I start beating ass" Edwin says "yeah right" I say and Edwin smiles at me before chuckling.
Payton looks my way before looking at Edwin and whispering something to him but I couldn't hear. He sighs before picking his cards up as well as the rest of us. "Zion you start since you won the last game" Brandon says and we start.
It's been about 10 minutes and Payton is just hitting me with these +4 and I'm taking it personal. Every time , I know she's just saving those for me. I want someone to reverse it so I can get her back. We have one of those cards where you make your own and it's a pick up 20 and luckily I have it. Austin reverse which makes it go back to me.
I lay it down and look at her "aww , sorry" I shrug and she begins to pick up cards and Edwin looks over at me but I just watch her pike begin to get stacked up on cards. Feels good.
"Suck it" I lay my last card down as this 20 minute uno game has finally ended. "Wow good game" Nick shakes his head "and now I am done" I stand up and walk into the kitchen and I hear someone follow me "is it just me or were you and Payton having a uno war" Angelina walks in and says.
"Man I don't know what her problem was" I tell Angie "but I won so I don't care" I say "you should come over to my house" she says "sleepover" I question "duh" she smiles "I have to get my things from Edwins room" I tell her before I watch Edwin and Payton walk to the door "bye everyone" Payton waves "I'll be in the car" she tells him
"ight imma go get Somme stuff" he kisses her and she walks out . I walk upstairs to get my things from his room. The door opens back up and I look at Edwin "you leaving?" He ask and I nod "aww" he pouts "you are too" I say "if you stay , I'll stay" he steps closer to me. I chuckle is nervousness "umm well I'm going to Angies house"
He nods "well I'm gonna go to Payton's for the night" he says and then I nod "see you tomorrow?" He ask "yeah see you tomorrow" I grab my stuff "love you Najah" he says "love you too Eddie"
I walk downstairs "love you boys , see ya" Angie and I wave at the boys before walking past Payton "no goodbye , thought we were better than that" Payton says snd I turn around "still upset over all those plus fours , just a game" she smirks. "Yeah just a game , just game that I won"
We walk into Angies place as her little dog comes running in "coffee" she picks him up and I pet him "I still don't get why you named him coffee" I say "I like coffee plus it fits him" she smiles "yeah yeah" I sit down at kitchen island "what's wrong" she ask and I look at her "nothing" I lie "girl we been best friends for how many years again!" She says "11 years" I shrug "exactly and I know when something is wrong" she nudges me
"Is it about Edwin?" She ask "about your feelings for him?" She questions "shhh" I tell her "ain't no here except the dog and he can't talk" she says "I just don't know" I say "tell him" she suggests "fuck no , are you crazy" I ask "just a bit" she sets the dog down and says "come on do it" she says
"And ruin Edwin and I's friendship? Yeah no" I refuse "oh he likes you back" she says "I can't risk anything Ang" I say "I get it" she holds her hands up "but it could have a good outcome" I roll my eyes "it could also have a bad one" I add
"don't take to long" she says "before you know it him and Payton are gonna have kids , get married , and ride away in the sunset, never looking back" she nods "girl"
She comes back to reality "sorry , I read it In a book one time" she says and I giggle lightly.

"What's up with you and Najah huh?" Payton sets her keys down as we walk in her house "what you mean?" I ask her "you know what I mean" she says and turns around to face me "no I don't" I shake my head "Edwin I am so tired of you and her" she says
"Tired of her and I , Payton-" she cuts me off "no! It's so damn annoying" she says "we are just friends" I tell her "you say that all the time but it doesn't seem like that" she says "well that's what it is" I say "don't lie to me" she mumbles
"I'm not , I love you okay?" I say "you love Najah too" she says "as a friend, I love you as a lover" I say "she's your best friend" she says "yeah?" I question "I don't like it" she says "I never did" she admits "there's nothing to worry about babe"
She sighs "trust me" I say "don't betray my trust Edwin" she nods "I wanna be with you" I tell her
"Fine" she shrugs "I still don't like it though" she adds "I just wish you two could be friends" I smile "she's trying to get with my boyfriend"
I shake my head "Najah isn't like that , we are just friends and that's all Najah and I are" I say "Najah doesn't want me Payton" I take a deep breath "relax" I say "relax ? How would you feel if I had a boy best friend" she ask and I bite my lip "that's different" I say "HOW?" She shouts
"You can't accept that you are wrong" she says "For the last time , Najah and I are just Friends" I tell her "whatever" she shakes her head "Payton come on" she goes to walk away before I step in front of her "why do I have to do?" I ask
