Medic: (off screen) She's waking up.

Thea opens her eyes and sees Felix and a New Republic medic staring at her. Thea gets up and noticed that she didn't have her helmet on.

Felix: Woah woah woah, easy now. You've been knocked out for a while. Just take it easy, there's nothing to worry about. You're safe, Thea.

Thea stands up and looks at them.

Thea: [blearily] Ugh...what?

Felix: You took a rock to the back of the head. Good news is, we made it back to base undetected.

Thea looks at him confused.

Thea: Back to base?

Felix: Welcome to the New Republic.

Camera pans up, revealing the New Republic's underground base

Thea: Felix, what the hell is going on...where is everyone?

Felix: Grif, Simmons, Tucker and Caboose are up in the main compound.

Thea: Well what about everyone else? What about Sarge? What about Wash?

The medic looks at them awkwardly.

Medic: Umm... I'm gonna go.

The medic leaves.

Felix: Thanks, doc.

Thea looks at Felix angrily.

Thea: Felix, do not shit with me right now.

Felix: We had to leave them, Thea.

Thea: What?!

Felix: Look, the Feds were closing in. If we stayed any longer they would have taken you too.

Thea: No! That's bullshit!

Felix: That's war, Thea! Not everyone makes it back! You guys put up a good fight. I can see why Kimball wanted you.

Thea still glares at him angrily.

Thea: Who the hell is Kimball?

???: I am.

Thea looks to see a soldier with tan armor and blue strips looking at her.

Vanessa Kimball: Vanessa Kimball, leader of the New Republic. I'm very glad to meet you Supernova. I wish it were under better circumstances.

Thea: Uh, yeah. Okay.

Kimball: Your friends are waiting for you up near the mess hall. It's just north of here. Why don't you go catch up? We'll talk later.

Thea: Yeah.

Thea leaves as Kimball looks at Felix annoyed.

Kimball: You're not getting paid the full amount.

Felix: I know.

Kimball: You're lucky you're getting paid at all.

Felix: I know!

Kimball: Are they as good as we hoped?

Felix: I think so. Either that or they're just really lucky.

Kimball: Well they probably don't feel very lucky.

Kimball leaves. Cut to Caboose, Grif, Tucker and Simmons outside the closed mess hall.

Simmons: It's a small rebel army, Grif.

Grif: It's poor customer service!

Simmons: You were eating everything!
