The day after⁴

"Mr.Ackerman."

"Mr.Ackerman?"

Levi was snapped into reality as he heard someone call out his name

"You're all stitched up, you should rest for a while. We have a bed prepared for you-" a tall brunette lady said

"I don't need to rest. I'll go now." The short raven responded

"Are you sure? We can hold off some-" the lady continued, but was quickly interupted

"I already said no, are you that thick? Give it to someone who needs it. People are dying for fuck's sake."

The lady gave Levi a blank stare as he stormed out, suprised at his sudden rudeness.

At this point, Erwin definitely got the mission report.

The only thing that was left was for Levi to tell him what happened, as he was the one who finished off the titan.

Levi dreaded the thought of looking into Erwin's eyes, telling him that he was responsible for Hange's untimely demise.

The meeting with Erwin was scheduled at 6pm, giving Levi just enough time for his planned rest.

But Levi couldn't sleep just yet.

Eren Jeager, a recruit, was in charge of cleaning Moblits room.

It was supposed to be emptied and given to a new solider.
They had no rooms to spare on dead people.

Soliders were just objects that are expensive to keep.
If they died, their items will simply be passed onto the next solider.

As Levi went to check up on the recruits, he suddenly saw Mikasa behind him.

"Heichou? Eren wants to see you." Mikasa simply said

"Tell the brat to fuck off, I'm not into kids." Levi replied absent-mindedly

"Its about Moblit."

Levi's twitched at the word.
Eyes immediately on Mikasa.

Levi practically ran towards Eren's room, leaving Mikasa with no reply

"Oi brat! What is it?!" Levi opened the door, not bothering to knock

"Oh, um..Good morning heichou!" Eren saluted

"Cut to the chase. Besides, it's 4 pm."

Eren looked quickly at the clock, not realizing he had been cleaning for that long

"I found this in Moblit's bedside table."

Eren held up a small box.

Levi opened it only to find...........a ring

"T-This!" Levi muttered

"It seems like an expensive ring, I don't know if trusting it to the officials is good."

Levi wasn't thinking about that in the slightest.

Moblit was planning to propose.
If Levi hadn't got them killed....

They would be happily married in just a few months from now. Days, if they planned on celebrating privately.

He knew for a fact that Hange would say yes. They loved Moblit more than anything, even titans.

"Heichou?" Eren called out

"Right. Continue, Jeager."

Eren was suprised that he wasn't called 'brat'
