London's POV

We played our last match before the holiday break yesterday against the Millwall Lionesses. Now I was driving to watch Jackie play with Manchester United against Everton. Then I was going back to Manchester with her, before going to her house with her parents. I tapped the steering wheel trying to figure out where I was supposed to be going. My phone had died so I didn't have a GPS, luckily the stadium was big enough I could see it. Just not how to get there.

"Do you know where you're going?" Did I mention Jill was with me?

"Yes."

"Are you sure?" She asks again.

"I asked if you wanted to drive and you said no, so I don't want to hear any complaints," I say. "Where is the parking lot!"

"You said-"

"There it is. See, totally know what I'm doing." Jill was here to watch Jackie as well, and I don't think she trusted me to travel alone. Which she didn't say but it was heavily implied.

"Have I been in a car with you driving before?" Jill asks as I look for parking.

"Not sure, why?"

"Can you park the car?"

"I'm going to make you walk the rest of the way," I threaten.

"We're in the lot London." I whip the car into a spot and put it in park.

"We should be in the stadium," I smile grabbing my purse and stepping out of the car. We walked towards the stadium, showed the guard our tickets and sat down as the players were walking out.

"Are you excited to go to the Netherlands?" Jill asks.

"Yeah, it's been a while, look it's starting."

The match ended 3-0 to Manchester United and Jackie had gotten a goal and an asist.

"Great job Jack!" I hug her.

"Yeah you played great Jackie," Jill says.

"Thank you! Are you guys good to go?"

"Yep. She should make it back to your place in time," Jill says wrapping an arm around me.

"Thank you!"

I had to drop Jill at the airport here, then I was going to Manchester and the Netherlands.

"I'll drive this time. No offense to your driving skills, I just feel safer when I know where I'm going."

"I actually feel very offended," I scoff handing her the keys.

"Don't be." Once we were in the car and Jill had gotten on the main road she glances towards me. "Are your parents going to be there?"

"Not sure. I don't have any contact with them, hopefully not. I'm literally going anywhere that's not home."

"Yeah, I kind of picked up on that."

"I may go to the States, make sure Mal and Rose haven't killed Andi by being annoying. If they're there, I also haven't spoken to them in a while. What are you doing? The Netherlands the whole time?"

"Maybe, I'd consider traveling somewhere else, seeing as we don't get to travel for free time often," Jill says.

"True, that's why I don't hate offseason."

"Yeah, if you were to somewhere else, where would you go?"

"Dubai maybe, I think a few girls have been there and liked it."

"Nice."

"Where would you go?"

"Anywhere that's not home," I joke.

We arrive at the airport and I pull into the area to drop people off.

"Have a safe flight Jill," I say as she's grabbing her bag from the backseat.

"Thanks, hopefully, it's smooth."

"It will be," I assure her. I walk over to her and hug her after she's got her bag situated.

"Call me if you need to," Jill says looking me in the eye.

"I will, thank you for being there for me," I respond. We pull away and she walks into the airport. I get back in the car and start the drive to Manchester to meet with Jackie.

"So what's the deal with you and Jill?" Jackie asks. We landed in the Netherlands and are driving to her parents.

"What do you mean? There's no deal with us," I say confused.

"She didn't want to fly back with Daan or Viv?"

"I don't know, I guess not," I shrug.

"And she came to my game with you?"

"You guys play together Jackie," I remind her.

"She cares about you London."

"It's only because I told her Jackie, she's just concerned," I say.

"She knows?" Jackie asks startled.

"Yeah, I told her last month. She basically pieced it together though."

"I'm glad somewhere in London knows. It's better that way."

"How so?"

"If something were to happen, they would know what and who." She pulls into the driveway and we grab our bags from the boot.

"Not a word," I remind her.

"I know."

Yeah. This is short sorry. Also late. I'm not promising an update tomorrow, and I'm going out of town Tuesday so if there's not one Monday it'll be next weekend. Happy fall, and stay safe! Thank you.
