Last First Kiss

My alarm blared and I quickly shut it off wanting to go back to sleep. I checked the clock and had an hour until dinner with Lia. Ever since I had gone to her house that one night she had been checking up on me ever so often and inviting me for dinner. I rolled out of bed and took a quick shower before doing my hair in french braids. The nice thing about spending time with Lia is I could relax with her. She didn't know about the details of the fight I had with Daan and Beth or the things I told Jill.

After getting ready I said bye to the girls and drove over to a park near Lia's place. I was ten minutes early, which I knew would be the case when I left the flat.

Lia and I were sitting at her table eating and talking when I brought it up.

"Jill kissed me." She froze with her fork halfway to her mouth and set it down before trying to respond. "We haven't talked about it though, at all. No one else knows so please don't say anything," I rush out.

"You should definitely talk to her about it, it's important for both of you to know where you stand," Lia says.

"That makes sense, yeah. But we're teammates, what if it doesn't work out?"

"Daan and Beth are teammates, Viv and Lisa, Leah and Jordan, if it doesn't work out just try and be friends."

"Lia. I've basically never been in a relationship before. I have no fucking clue how this goes, what to do, any of it."

"It's okay London. What do you need help with?" She asks.

"I don't know!"

"This is something you need to discuss with Jill."

"I can't talk about this with her!"

"Then you shouldn't be together."

"Lia," I began to protest, but she was right. Sort of. "How do I bring that up?"

She grinned and leaned forward slightly. "You don't have to be the one to bring it up. Let the conversation flow and it will come in. Or let her ask."

"We aren't having conversations."

"That's your first problem then. Start talking to her!"

"Daan and Beth are always around and they could never keep it a secret!" I complain.

"When did you guys kiss?"

"A week ago," I mumble.

"I can't hear you London," She says.

"Wow, okay. So it's been a while."

"Yeah."

"Just talk to her, about anything. Football."

"Yeah alright. Now let's talk about your love life."

I got home and no one was there. The lights were all off which was weird because it was only nine and no one was asleep yet. I turned on the living room light and set my purse and keys down before taking off my shoes. I heard a floorboard creak and someone drops something with a loud bang.

"Jeez London, you scared me to death!" Jill said. She had been holding some metal thing and I've got no idea where it's from.

"What were you carrying?"

"That thing for the fireplace. You were at Lia's right?"

"Yeah, for dinner. Where are Beth and Daan?" This was easily the longest conversation we've had in a while.

"Beth's parents are in town, they went to see them for a bit." Now we're awkwardly standing in the middle of the room. "Look London, I'm sorry if the kiss made you uncomfortable, but I need my friend back. So we can just pretend it never happened, yeah?"

"Oh," Lia never told me what to do if she said this. "Jill, I-" I hate that she was making me have to say this. "It's fine. I wasn't uncomfortable, I just have no idea what I'm doing."

"Well, I can help with that," She said walking over to me. She pulled me into a hug and I leaned into her.

"I talked to Lia about it."

"I talked to Viv, she won't tell Lisa though."

"Okay."

Cool, so I don't have the energy to write a long chapter but I'll have the next one out next week. My weekend is very busy. Also what is everyone being for Halloween?
