Guys. It's a double update day

Lia's POV

I pulled into the car park where Beth, Daan, and Jill live and park my car. I walk to their flat and knock on the door waiting. Daan opens it and lets me in.

"Hey, Lia. How is London doing? We don't see her much anymore," she says.

"She's doing good, everything is a bit hard for her now. Is Jill here?"

"Yeah, in the sitting room, come in." I follow Daan through the flat and see Jill sitting on the couch.

"Jill, we need to talk."

"Sure," she agrees. I follow her to her room and she shuts the door. "What's up?"

"You told London she needs to go on loan because you need a break? Do you hear how that sounds to a nineteen-year-old girl who has been through what she has? Because it sounds like you are saying you don't care enough about her to try and fix whatever it is you two have going on. Like you never cared for her in the first place, and that's exactly as she took it. But you will be happy to know she's already started looking."

"Of course, I care about her, Lia! How could I not? But I messed up really badly."

"You can apologize for telling her you need a break from her," I scoff.

"She didn't tell you?"

"What did you do, Jill? Keeping in mind you are friends with her cousin," I remind her.

"I told her I only dated her because I wanted to help her."

"You know that you were her first relationship? When you first started dating she came over for dinner and was worried about telling you and how your relationship would advance. Then when you had your first kiss she came over randomly and was beaming. She told me about the whole night. London was the best thing to ever happen to any of us."

"I know. But when she made that video, what would have happened if we came out as a couple to the world? The rumors would fly around that we only got together because of the article, or that London was lying, or some other thing! She could have waited to make the video!"

"You're right. She could have. But it's been two months and you guys still haven't gotten your shit together."

"We don't work Lia. Sure, she told you about all the good things, but we had lows. We had moments where we couldn't stand each other. Moments where she ran away because of me. I betrayed her trust several times. We don't work."

"Maybe you don't. But we will never know if you would have because you burned that bridge. It was both of you, you both did things that made this worse. She is not fully innocent, but what you said about the loan was out of line."

"I know that. But I said it."

"Apologize, Jill! It's not that hard, have you apologized once since you guys started fighting? And not in a sarcastic way?"

"No, neither of us have."

"So you're coming home with me and you are going to apologize and make up. If she still leaves, at least you tried, if she stays, you have to actually try Jill."

"I will. But I don't think-"

"Great, let's go."

London's POV

I poured myself a glass of wine and called my manager.

"Hello, London! Do you have a decision already?"

"Yep. There was only ever one option."

"I figured you would say that."

"So we are clear, we're talking about" the door opens and the alarm chimes. "right?"

"Yes. I will get in touch with the managers. Have a good night London."

"You as well Grace. Thank you again."

"London! Come here please!" I take my wine and go to the dining room where Lia shouted. "You guys are talking. I am in the next room."

"We already spoke. Aired out our feelings."

"London, please," Jill whispers.

"You are in no place to ask me for anything," I snap at her.

"I was wrong, I am sorry London. I should never have reacted that way about the video or pushed you to have confirmed our relationship, you did the right thing. I'm especially sorry for telling you to leave Arsenal. You shouldn't have to do that because I made a dumb mistake," She rushes out before I can interrupt her.

"I'm sorry as well, Jill. You should have had a say in which path we took with our relationship. But you were right. We don't work, we never would have worked in the long run. It took me two months of therapy to realize that but I finally did."

"London, I didn't mean what I said at the coffee shop, any of it."

"I know, but I can't put myself through this every time something doesn't work out between us. Besides, I've already agreed on a loan." I take a sip of my wine looking at Jill. Lia bursts into the room and looks at me shocked.

"You did?"

"I'm sorry Lia. But I can't stay here. There is too much dark in London, I'm staying in Europe if that makes it any better. The States are also too dark."

"It's been like two, maybe three hours!" Jill pointed out.

"You were right, teams had put in offers, I went through the pros and cons and it boiled down really easily." My phone buzzed and when I checked it I saw Jill Ellis calling me. "Hold on, I have to take this?"

"Leila calling?" Jill asks.

"Hello, this is London Adair!" I say in a cheery voice.

"Hi London, this is Jill Ellis. As you know the World Cup is approaching, and I would like you to be one of the players that travel to France with the United States National Team."

"I would love to! Thank you so much!" I smile. This is all I have ever wanted, to compete in the World Cup. After a few more minutes she hung up and I went back to Lia and Jill. "Lia, I know you think this is just because of what Jill said, and it may have been the last push but this was a long time coming. My whole world came crashing down when I moved here, I need this. And Jill, I need a break as well. Maybe after my loan is up we can try this again but it's not the right time."

:) I wonder where London signed? And what will happen with her and Jill? And Mapi and London are so cute! Thanks for reading this part!
