For once things seemed to be settling down in Tree hill as everything became a blur between school and basketball for the twins, even Lucas who had decided to go back to physical therapy and lost some of that anger and bitterness he was as a result of the accident being the reason he couldn't play for a while and why things went so wrong with his love life. Right now it seemed like everything was gearing up towards the upcoming away game that was happening this weekend with the team having to spend the night in a hotel along with the cheerleaders who had a competition at the same tournament. Alex was trying not to freak out at the prospect of spending the weekend with her boyfriend in a hotel as she wondered if there was an expectation for to them to have sex since she wasn't sure that she was ready for that yet. She was trying to push all of these worries out of her head and focus on what was going on right now as she currently walked around the school courtyard with Haley and Lucas as they had all realised how long it had been since they had hung out like they used to

" I'm glad that we're doing this, it seems that we never get to hang out anymore" Alex said voicing her thoughts out loud as she knew that they were all so busy with school and boyfriends in Haley's and Alex's case
" well between you always being with AJ and you always being with Nathan, it makes it kind difficult for us to hang out" Lucas said knowing that things had definitely changed in the group of three
" I guess you should feel pretty lucky you get to hang out with me like this then. Do you have any other wishes I can grant?" Haley said knowing she was in high demand due to Nathan and tutoring
" what? Are you genie now or something?" Alex said mocking her causing Haley gave her a look as they all knew that Alex's mocking was a key component to them hanging out like this
" Yeah. Why don't you come to the tournament this weekend? I mean Alex and I are both going to be there anyway" Lucas said knowing Whitey had told him to go with the team despite not playing
" that would be amazing! I mean we could hang out some more for old times sake" Alex said knowing that it might also take the pressure off her when it came to being alone with AJ in the hotel
" Ugh. Alright. Yeah. You're on" Haley said as if she was giving into them as she knew that her parents wouldn't miss her since they pretty much left her to her own devices most of the time
" Alright. Thank you, genie... Catch you later. Come on, Alex. We should head to class" Lucas said as he noticed Nathan coming up behind Haley as he dragged Alex with him as they left the couple alone
" why do I have to go with you? Unlike I don't actually hate Nathan anymore and I don't understand why you do" Alex said knowing that they were being petty and stupid about whole thing
