It had been a few days since Nathan's party and the accident with the police and while things seemed to have calmed somewhat, Dan's little comment about Karen and what kind of father he was still niggling away at the twins as they tried to work out what he meant or if he was simply trying to bait them and stir up trouble like always. They both knew that Dan had a habit of trying to change the narrative to make himself look better and always saw himself as a victim rather than the truth as they wondered if this was just another trick from him to try and put a wedge between Karen and her children. However Dan seemed to be the further thing from Nathan's mind as he turned his head to the playoffs that were coming up as he knew the only way to truly beat his dad was out on the court and he knew the best way to do that was working with his siblings rather than be against them. Which is why he found himself out of the door connected to Lucas's room earlier in the morning
" Get dressed" Nathan said the moment that Lucas opened the door after managing to drag himself from bed since he had been sleeping when he heard Nathan knocking on the door
" Dude, it's six am, what are you doing?" Lucas said with the sleep still evident in his husky voice as he rubbed his eyes as he wondered what if Nathan had suddenly had a personality transplant
" We're going running, Alex too" Nathan said knowing it was time for the Scott siblings to work together and be a team against their father as this was the one thing he always tried to prevent
" No, I'm going to bed" Lucas said as he made a move to try and go back to bed as he knew that it wouldn't be long before they had to get to go school as sleep seemed to beckon him
" I'll just keep knocking" Nathan said showing that he wasn't going to back down from this as he showed the familiar Scott stubborn family trait that he recognised all too well from his sister
" fine but you're the one that wakes Alex up. Be warned, she gets violent when people disturb her sleep" Lucas said sounding defeated as he dragged himself to his closest to get changed

" tell me again why I'm out here running when I should still be sleeping?" Alex said as her, Lucas and Nathan ran through the streets of Tree Hill as Nathan chuckled at her reaction
" Playoff's are next week. So we have to get you two ready" Nathan said knowing that even he had to admit that they had great potential but we're still new to playing basketball like this
" meaning what?" Alex said almost scared that he was about to say more early morning running and workouts since he seemed determined to work with them despite their protests
" Workouts, studying game tapes, whatever it takes" Nathan said knowing that they still had a lot to learn about playing for a high school team as he thought about the amount work needed
" Why?" Lucas said wondering why Nathan had suddenly changed his mind about them enough to want to willingly spend that much time with them compared to his recent behaviour
