Main idea: Destiny promised Ink that he would never feel that blank, lonely emptiness again. Destiny promised Error that he would be given new friends and a whole plethora of worlds to talk to. Destiny was going to fulfill their promises when Fate took her chosen children away from them...forever.
They cursed Ink with the loss of hearing, grayed his world out, until even when he left the anti-void, nothing had color. He had been rendered deaf and colorblind after he had been promised life and color.
They took away Error's voice, ensuring he could never say a word of this to anyone, and even made it so physical contact brought him pain. He now lived without voice and without touch.
When they tried to become friends, Fate made their jobs harder which stopped them from meeting up, even when their meetings consisted of just silently working and stargazing, the occasional sign language.
I wonder if they'll ever be free of that...
